Re: Columbia 2011!
Accurate statement. They turned on the heat last week and then we get this hot weather. They claim they can't switch back to air conditioning. It has been really hot for this whole week. Hardly a reason not to apply, but still has sucked. I am sure JG Hall meant to say was, "If you don't like Saunas, then don't apply."JG Hall wrote:Do not apply to Columbia. They cannot properly heat and cool the law school.

How do you know if you are under review if the status checker stays "completed" even after decision?

Mine from last year stayed "complete" all the way until last month when I reapplied. It never reflected review or decision.

?? I believe I submitted all of my materials. Is this the standard email people get, or must I have missed something? I checked my status checker but it's not up yet. Thanks.

Re: Columbia 2011!
submitting app as i type :] debated between ED and RD for days, but i'm going to submit ED before i change my mind for the 70th time. the only thing that was holding me back was the money, and i was finally convinced that i probably wouldn't qualify for a very high merit scholarship anyway and should be able to receive some fin aid later. also partially just want the peace of mind in knowing in december! columbia's always been my dream school. best of luck to all of us! :]

People get a touch overambitious with their apps (e.g. the 3.5/170 that's "totes holding out for Harvard" because he was president of the pre-law club).

Re: Columbia 2011!
Does anyone how to submit the ED contract (email vs. regular mail)?
If you can send it in by email, do you have to sign it and scan it?
Thanks!

Just Fedexed my ED contract in, now the long, painful wait. My numbers put my chances at "snowball in hell" (174/3.42) but I would feel regretful to not give it the try. Eh, there is always Cornell....

Sucks -- NYU were cool about scanning/emailing or faxing the signed copy. Best of luck!eeeeeek wrote:nvm. I just called the admissions office and was told to send a physical copy in by mail/fedex/whatever.eeeeeek wrote:Does anyone how to submit the ED contract (email vs. regular mail)?

Re: Columbia 2011!
It does suck... I had so much trouble with my ED contract. I had to send it in 3 times and finally used certified mail to be sure it gets there.cigrainger wrote:Sucks -- NYU were cool about scanning/emailing or faxing the signed copy.
