25th percentile was 161 for the Class of 2013. My bet is that he will get in late in the cycle. A fellow 1L I know had nearly identical stats and was under review from early November until nearly March before finally being accepted. Moritz is getting really picky about LSAT scores. They seem to favor balanced applicants over splitter/reverse-splitters, i.e. 3.7/165 is auto-admit with $$$, while a 170/3.1 or a 3.9/160 are going to be waiting until the class starts to fill up so the school can get an idea of where their numbers are going.
Where did you see that 161 is their 25th? According to what I saw on their website 160 is the 25th, 163 is the median, and 164 is the 75th.
You're right. According to Moritz, their LSAT 25/50/75 is 160/163/164, and their GPA is 3.45/3.66/3.82. But being less than the median for LSAT is nervewracking regardless.

Thanks! I applied and went complete super early... late September (9/28). Not ED. I'm sure you'll get good news soon, ltq.
(Of course, now I'm paranoid that they think I'm ED what with the seat deposit due so soon).

I would just give them a call to ask about the seat deposit situation. That does seem odd. And I believe ED seat deposits aren't even due until January...so it's weird that an RD applicant would need to have it in in 3 weeks!

Yeah, I'll wait until the official "bill" comes. I'm getting the 3 weeks from this paragraph in the acceptance email:
The University Office of Professional Admissions will send you instructions for reserving your seat in the entering class. As indicated in the letter, we ask that you pay your seat deposit by the deadline of three weeks after the date of your admission.
Well, this is a good way to start a busy Tuesday.
good luck, all!

I'm in, the original email said deposit due in 3 weeks, but then they sent an updated email to say it's not due until May 1. I'm pretty pumped. Incidentally does anyone know how generous OSU is with financial aid? Texas game me a pretty decent scholarship, so I'm hoping for the best. I really wouldn't mind staying in Ohio (as odd as that sounds

I fellow Ohioan who also got into Texas. I'd be interested in the factors weighing on your decision. I'm sure we'll get money at OSU.
Unfortunately my Texas voicemail didn't mention scholarships. I'm hoping it was an oversight. I think it would be out of the running at sticker. How long did it take you to receive the scholarship in the mail after the call?

It said "in the coming weeks". I wrote an essay for the leadership scholarship and am considering applying for the Moritz as well. I guess I should start on that...

Did everyone that's heard submit in September/October? Just curious

I feel so late compared to everyone here. Submitted Sunday night and under review now.
I have a question though. I assigned three letters of recommendation, but the third still hasn't submitted to LSAC (she said she was going to yesterday). Will my report be automatically reviewed since I reached the threshold or will they wait until the third comes in? Just curious because the one missing is a professor I had in class while the two that are in are a professor and a research advisor.
Really hoping to get into OSU!! I go there now for undergrad.

I got the scholarship offer in the mail around 2 weeks after getting the acceptance email. I think the biggest factor that I'm weighing between the two schools is the desire to stay in Ohio, vs. possibly better job prospects coming out of Texas. Hopefully we'll both get more acceptances soon so our decision can be even more complicated

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
