yea still no word over here neither. last email I received was them telling me about the waitlist and they expected there to be movement up until august

You guys, please reconsider hofstra if you get off the wait list. Chances are that you wont receive scholarships and the school is not worth the money. Additionally, I know of someone who graduated in the middle of his class there and got a job only paying 44,000 a year. Its not worth the money. Re-take and reapply.

I just figured I'd update people who haven't heard anything/made any calls. I spoke to a person in the Admissions Office this morning and she told me that the committee continues to review applications and plans to pull people from the waitlist until the end of the summer. She also mentioned that if you're accepted toward the end of the summer, then to expect a phone call (in addition to the e-mail). This was good for me to know, because I typically keep my phone off while at work (I work in a library). But, probably bad for me to know because now it adds to another thing I'm checking all the time, ha. But in case people were wondering how you'd be contacted, I thought I should pass that along.

The Application Status website will also be updated if you're accepted. Although, I think for my own sanity, I'm not going to check it so regularly. It seems that they want to contact you directly in the fastest way possible when you've been accepted. I hope this helps.

I was waitlisted on 5/15 and just got accepted yesterday!!! I found out via status checker and got an email about an hour later..

Has anyone been made any offers of admission?

Last week I received an e-mail asking if I'd like to be placed on their "priority waiting list" which I took to mean they've made offers to people who declined and they wanted to create a pool of people who would accept an offer. Is anyone still holding out at this point?

I'm still waiting as well. I'm not sure what the chances of admission are at this point, but still waiting/ hoping. Let us know if you get a response!

Btw, I didn't get an email last week that mentioned a priority wait list. I wonder if that means that my chances are slimmer...
