I got a really nice phone call from Admissions letting me know that I was admitted and that I should be getting my admissions packet in the mail early next week

I sent a loci a few weeks ago and submitted a well thought-out "Why Penn" essay with my original application.
Did you send your loci via email? And did you get a response from Penn confirming that they received it?

I sent the loci in the body of an email. I used the loci to elaborate the softs that I thought would appeal to Penn. I didn't recieve a confirmation.

I got a quick phone call earlier in the week asking me about my interest in the school/if I had visited. It'd seemed like they were trying to gauge my interest. I made it really clear that I would accept an offer if I were lucky enough to recieve one.

Twice since waitlisted, I've received phone calls from Philly exchanges. Each time, my heart beats a bit faster. Each time, I'm let down.

Congrats on the admit. Needless to say, I wish it were me.

The waitlist interview was only about that?

Agreed, but it seems as if all the admits have high GPA's so far. If they have filled their need for high LSATs I'm effed.

Good luck to all WL'd folks. TLS will be interviewing Renee Post next week, so if you have any WL-related questions (or any other questions, for that matter), come post in this thread:

Quick question!! Is Penn's admissions binding? Meaning if I accept my offer to Penn, do I have to withdraw myself from other waitlists? Or can I stay on?

I think that you are allowed to remain on other waitlists. But you should definitely call the admissions office to be sure of their specific policies.

Anyone know of any movement off the waitlist or any updates since mid-May? Anyone knocked off the WL?

Seriously, Penn? That seems low. I have no update on my status checker yet, but I will not be happy if I find out I've been rejected by status checker.
