Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I've been lurking the past two-ish weeks (...and maybe refreshing the page every ten minutes to see if any news was available), but finally I have some news to give myself:
JS2 today! Wooooooooo!
Ended up getting my application in fairly late (complete mid-February), JS1 a week ago, JS2 today. Have to hold off on celebrating until I don't have an early morning flight, though.
Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting! Thanks for giving me something to channel my nervousness into!

Oh and one more interesting thing I just remembered:
My interview was only 10 minutes. KB asked me 7 questions and I asked two questions. I was afraid the interview was a bit too short but I guess the amount of time the interview takes really doesn't matter.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
The same, but she asked me more about my hobby (which came up in the PS) than law school. I remember feeling a little disappointed because it was very quick and she (JS) didnt seem to be listening as closely as I expected. I guess it meant she already had her mind made up, though, because I was admitted the next day. So, for posterity's sake - don't panic if your interview is shorter or less impressive than you expected! You really never know what their impressions were..Anonymous4444 wrote:Oh and one more interesting thing I just remembered:

WL at 12:19 PM.
Complete 12/20
JS1, 3/12
3.87/174 (prior 168)
Withdrawing. I'm not sure that I really wanted to get talked out of taking a full ride elsewhere, and I'm pretty sure that I would have talked myself out of it had I gotten into HLS, so I guess it's all to the good.
Big thanks to folks on here for their advice, data collection, and congeniality. I wish all the best to those of you that attend HLS!

Sorry to hear it. You seem like you would have been comfortable there. In the end this is all foolishness about H or Y or S or full rides. At this level it will be all about you and how you do, which I'm sure will be great.

Are there a lot of people out there who have had JS/KB1s, but haven't heard anything since?

Thanks for the very rational suggestion, Wert. I think I need to chill out just a little bit. While this WL --> JS1 wave was not entirely URM, it was pretty URM heavy.wert3813 wrote:Figure out if this is a URM wave. It's not about going to the party, man; it's about being invited. There's also multiple non URMs getting JS1s, so...wert3813 wrote:Figure out if this is a URM wave. If so then no.chickpea wrote:Is it looking pretty bad if you weren't in this WL --> JS1 wave?bakaaw wrote:New WL --> JS1 invites going out over in the waitlist thread...

By my count of thread + spreadsheet, avoiding double counting anyone, we're at 3 of 7 new JS1 invites being URMjym_dawg wrote:There's also multiple non URMs getting JS1s, so...wert3813 wrote:Figure out if this is a URM wave.
