I worry about that, too. I rage-quit TLS at least once a week because every single thread devolves into pedantry and self-aggrandization. This is what law students do, apparently. I even catch myself getting sucked in and arguing pedantic shit.

I guess it's a good thing I'm not going to law school to be a lawyer. I'm going to use my law degree to break into the international political sports agency business.

4. Firms. They’re not fighting tooth and nail to recruit us. Hurts the ego. Makes no real difference since we meet them via mass mail or off-campus days anyway. But there have been plenty of times where I’ve said “Fuck this I’m transferring to XYZ” as I write cover letters. But that’s just me throwing a tantrum.

Really? Major firms don't even come to OCI? That is disheartening.

Were they considered URM? Perhaps you should be more open minded to their different life experience, and what that brings to the discussion. Please check your privilege.

As to number 4, major firms do come to OCI, but the majority would be at the off campus interviewing programs in NYC/DC/etc. I think that cuse is just getting at the fact that we aren't as desirable to firms as the schools above us, and especially at a place like WUSTL these big firms are only looking to take like one kid each, compared to places like Columbia which may be placing over a dozen kids in one firm.

I didn't realize cuse was trying to be funny saying there is a "minority of rednecks"… I did not realize how many people would miss the humor in describing rednecks as an underrepresented minority at a University… sorry for creating confusion, I guess.

Today pleeease. I hate when schools do the whole: "sometime before July 1st" when what they really mean is "the day before July 1st"
I get my hopes up every day for 2 weeks for no reason.

I know that feels. I'm as impatient as they come. It has gotten to the point that not only have I looked up the schedule on the school website awhile ago, but I already printed out the 1L section schedule grid and ranked them by preference too lol

LOL they're doing experimental sections again with E and F huh?

This includes profs that my class never had (Badawai/DeGeest) and I never had Norwood/Flagg/Osgood. So I won't be of any help if you're in E or F for the Fall term.
