I believe that everyone who applies, regardless of decision, gets the financial aid email and the practical skills brochure. The packet contained a Practical Skills brochure and la etter telling me how great their school is and that they hope I like what I see.... Are you kidding me?!
Can you tell me what this is about? I got the same thing. It was ??? What can I say?

Yup. I got the practical skills brochure well after withdrawing. Not an efficient use of your resources, L&C.sophistry wrote:I believe that everyone who applies, regardless of decision, gets the financial aid email and the practical skills brochure. Nice! I have similar numbers and some money would certainly put L&C around the top of my list. Really hoping for the reimbursement too. When did you apply?

Got my tickets booked for the ASD this weekend. Going to be arriving in Portland Wednesday afternoon and leaving Saturday night. Does anyone know what hotel they're staying at yet?

I just booked my tickets too... I looked at the hotels that they recommended and they were all kind of pricey, so I'm not sure where I'm going to stay yet either...

Re: Lewis & Clark 2010
I just got an email saying that I received a Dean's Scholarship of $16k/year. I was admitted back on 1/29. This came at an interesting time; I had all but written off Lewis and Clark after I was accepted to Washington and Lee, but getting some money definitely is making me think about them a little more. I still think W&L is a bit more attractive to me, and I'll know for sure when I go visit in April. If I decide not to go with LC, I'll withdraw ASAP so hopefully my scholarship money can go to someone else.
Good luck, everybody!

Re: Lewis & Clark 2010
Yeah, on the one hand, I don't want to spend all that money, when I'm sure I could find a hotel for much cheaper, but on the other hand, I like the idea of the shuttle & walking distance from the reception (since I won't have my car with me), plus I think it would be cool to stay at a hotel with lots of other L&C admits. So yeah, I'm pretty indecisive right now...

For anyone rejected, did the status checker change? Mine has updated 3 times, last time on the 17th, and still nothing.

Re: Lewis & Clark 2010
So I sent a request to be considered for scholarship money based on my acceptance to U of O as a state resident. Admissions let me know they had exhausted their ear-marked money but would put me on the list of students requesting aid and they pushed back my deposit due date from April 15th to May 1st. Gives me some hope.
I'm torn, my heart says L&C but my wallet says U of O.

Let me know when you make a decision... because I need to as well and I want to know your reasoning... lol.

Still waiting to hear from UW before I send in my enrollment form. Though, I predict they will reject me, which means in the next week or so I will officially become an entering student into L and C.
I'm going to visit the school next week (can't get there on admitted students weekend), so I will let you all know how truly awesome L and C is when I return. EEEEE so excited.
