Complete since beginning of November. Still no decision. I'm hoping that they're just trying to figure out how much scholarship money to give me

I like how I sent all my early applications to schools that either rejected me, deferred me, waited until the December LSAT, or just waited so long to get back to me that I shouldn't have bothered sending in the application early in the first place.

At this rate I'm not expecting a DR until early February.

I think a lot of this is affected by whether and when someone interviewed. Did you interview? I think they pull your file until your interviewer's letter arrives. But maybe they are holding files?

Unless it took your interviewer a long time to write that letter - which is a possibility - it sounds like your app was held.

Saw somewhere the specific merit awards info won't be out til March. Everything from 10k up was handed out last year. Vandy says it gives cash to 75% of incoming students.

Nope, I e-mailed the admissions office the day I went "complete" to make sure that my interview found my application, since it was sent first, they said "yes" that both were together and all was complete ... so held huh?! What does that mean?! Is it like a soft or internal WL?

Looks like the $145k are the big awards, but there are still folks getting 90k, 81k, 72k, 60k, 45k, 30k and 24k

did you receive the wailist letter in NC? i live in nc as well, though near the outer banks....nothing in the mail today.
also, they're sporadic in how they pull people off the list.

Yeah, good old Fayetteville. I doubt I will get in off the waitlist as it is far to large, but what more can I expect not being over one median at Vandy.

It just means that they're having a tough time coming up with a decision. My guess is that you're in between WL and admit. If it was in between rejection and WL, they'd just WL you. There's very for them to lose that way. But that's just one guy's opinion.
