Surprised w/ a lot of the numbers on here that decided to ED.

I was more concerned about YP than boosting my chances. I would go to Penn over CLS, though I know the very concept of that blows the mind of everyone here.

Yeah, you were the one with CLS numbers that applied ED to Penn. Why would they YP you if you're ED... Duh.

errr I'm saying that's part of WHY I did ED - to avoid YP.

At least you have something else to look forward to if you don't AND you get the freedom to choose your destiny. Not that bad of a cushion is it?

i'm sure this question has been asked many times, but can anyone tell me what it means when your UR hasn't changed for a while. It was UR 11/02 first, and then UR 11/18, and it's stayed there ever since??

where there really only 15 ppl who got in ED last year? what was this based on? LSN/TLS or OVERALL?? that's crazy to have only 15 overall

It seems like that's what the incoming class was told last year by the school.

I would guess that a huge percentage of ED applicants are underqualified (like me or worse), which might explain the low yield.

I went UR once - 11/11. It did not change and has not changed since getting the call an hour and half ago or so.

The number of early-decision applications to Penn dropped slightly for the second year in a row, admissions officials announced yesterday.


Penn received 3,929 early-decision applications this year, a 1.8 percent fall from last year's 4,001 applications. "


Only 15 people out of 3,929 applications?? That was for 2007 though, so the number is not completely accurate.

Those look like undergrad numbers.

Just from what I remember, looking at this thread, the Penn ED thread, and the LSN data, a lot of the ED applicants were below median for both LSAT and GPA, and the rejects on LSN were drastically below median for LSAT i think.

Another 171/3.4x was just accepted on LSN, giving me hoppppeee.

That is what made me realize that the person who said that was for Law School was incorrect. Sorry, those have to be UG numbers.

3.46, right on their 25% from last year.

I don't believe they make all their calls at once, so don't lose hope, just maintain it cautiously.

well my LSAT is at median, and GPA just slightly below median (but not by much), so I'm holding out hope. Last year, ED acceptances were not all on the same day. Any maybe they are, in fact, at lunch.
