I would order your own drink, that way you can "pay rent" for the interview time. It's polite. I would also try to get there early if possible to have my drink in hand when the interviewer gets in so there's no weird "let's go stand in line together" time, or making them wait, or whatever other awkward interaction there could be. But that's just melawschoolapps7777777 wrote:Alumni interview in two days at a dessert shop/cafe. So here are my questions: do I actually order something and eat it? If so, should I pay?

How long after submitting were you guys contacted for an interview? I submitted 11/23 and haven't been contacted. And why do some people get alumni interviews and others group interviews?

I had my Vandy interview at a coffee shop and we awkwardly stood in line together for like five minutes. Then he offered to pay and it was even more awkward. ED applicants. How long after the three weeks did you hear? Also is acceptance the only decision that comes in mail form?

PWL. Sigh. I'd think my numbers would be pretty competitive, must have hated my interview and/or essays.

Just received notification that my application was held only a week after I submitted (on 12/13). Nooooooooo idea what to make of this. I'm honestly shocked that they reviewed my application that quickly.

Also held today, 15 days after I got my status checker. I'm a pretty extreme splitter so I'm choosing to interpret this positively since a straight up ding right away would not have been surprising given my nunbers.

I applied ED and went complete on 11/20 but have not received a decision. I reached out to admissions last week and they said there was a delay in my decision due to the Thanksgiving holiday?! ED decisions are supposed to come within 3 weeks so I don't know what to think at this point. Advice on whether I should ask to be moved to RD at this point? I have submitted other apps now because of the decision delay but don't want to turn admissions off completely by asking to go to RD

Honestly I have a feeling that Georgetown is behind in reviewing apps in general. Seems like a lot of people were expecting decisions within three weeks of their interviews (myself included) and are still waiting after the 3 week mark. It's definitely disappointing, but if Georgetown is still your first choice, I'd say stay ED...brownam6 wrote:I applied ED and went complete on 11/20 but have not received a decision. What’s the deal with the priority waitlist? And is there a highest waitlist as well?

Re: Georgetown University Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017/2018)
I think Thanksgiving break is a legit reason for delay. However, also know getting it on the third week is pretty unlikely. Since they use snail mail, a week for mailing is reasonable. With that, they are only 3 days behind. So if you've been accepted, and they got back on track, your letter is probably in the mail.anacabana wrote:Honestly I have a feeling that Georgetown is behind in reviewing apps in general. From past years there is a waitlist, a priority waitlist, and then a special group within the priority waitlist that would be the "top" group, so to speak, that is given a specific individual in the admissions office to contact with application//LOCI updates.RobinLeHood13 wrote:What’s the deal with the priority waitlist? I submitted and went complete on 10/10, and have gotten absolute radio silence. No interview request or anything. I'm seeing so many people get held or accepted and have interviews, and I'm really confused about my situation. Anybody else in this boat?

Anyone still waiting for a response from the group interview in early December? I saw some ppl getting accepted. Are there different batches coming out even from the same group interview?

Do we know if they have standard username/password combos? Like I know NYU uses LSAC number and birthday so you can check when you go DLS. Is there an equivalent trick for Georgetown?sehguh94 wrote:Looks like the ASW just went live (not that I've been obsessively checking or anything...)

You have to go and click no password on the site to create your account, so you could theoretically do that to check. But I got in a couple weeks ago and it still says no record found for me so idk if it’ll workmwells56 wrote:Do we know if they have standard username/password combos?
