Yes. I was admitted on a Monday fairly early in the day and didn't get the e-mail and have my status checker change to admitted until Friday!

I kind of always assumed I'd just be WL because OOS.
How is UT with money? More or less generous than UCLA, for example? Can someone give me a quick rundown since I've been so checked out this cycle.

Based on LSN, less generous. However, LSN doesn't tell us when someone is awarded in-state tuition, which is essentially another 25k a year bump.

What do you mean "awarded"? Is UT known for giving OOS students a credit for in-state rate or what?

Yes; I was given in state tuition and 15k a year and I am OOS.

Just submitted my (solicited) Why Texas statement! Seems like the turnaround time from here should be about 2 weeks?

Is that the actual deadline? I've read the form instruction and my understanding was if you submit it on or after 3/27, you have five days to accept the offer, but not that you can't submit it after 3/27. I was actually wondering about this lol

Yeah, it's kind of strange, especially since they have a deadline to respond because, based on that wording, it seems like the loophole around the deadline is simply holding off on sending in the form. So it's like... is there a negative to waiting until later so you can avoid the deadline? Is the assumption that those who meet the deadline will be getting all the money? Lol.

I am mostly wondering because I have some scholarships I applied to that I might not get final word on until "late March" and the way "late" has been used so far for law school apps gives me no confidence that would be before the 27th and I want to include these on the form if I get them. I am not sure how the acceptance rule would work if they awarded you more money after the April 1st deadline but my thinking was just that you had to pay your seat deposit and it might be fine?

Seat deposit isn't until April 7 so I guess there's space between the two things
I suppose the thing would be that the longer you wait, the closer the seat deposit deadline is, and then once they have your seat deposit, maybe they're less likely to negotiate...... idk lol

Missed the call while watching John Wick with my pops. Listened to the voicemail together.
"This is "..." from Texas Law, I'm sorry...... to have missed you, but I'd like to congratulate you on..."
I nearly shat myself at sorry, then shat myself at congratulations.
