Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
you shouldn't have to disclose, I think you only have to disclose misdemeanors. you can doublecheck by going on the C&F section on the Chicago app (since it's open now), I believe it only says misdemeanors or something like that.
also ad-com probably won't care, I have a worse C&F issue and I'm sure they didn't care about mine.

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
The typical advice I've seen in these forums is that smaller infractions like this are not important to the adcoms. I have a more serious disclosure than the one you're desribing but I've been repeatedly told not to worry about it because it occured over 10 years ago. Yours is really small (in the grand scheme of things) so it shouldn't matter too much.

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
While we're talking c&f
Let's say I was caught with girls past curfew and was emailed saying I had to talk to the head of housing. Then head of housing just said don't do it again. Let's also say I disclosed it to some schools last year.
Is this such a non issue that I should just err on the side of disclosure? Some of the requirements about warnings or verbal sanctions can get kind of confusing and I'd rather not have to contact schools.
As it stands I'm going to disclose to any school that says verbal discipline or warning. Would you guys cut it back to just the ones that say warning?
Also when I disclose this should I talk about "what I learned" (I'm actually doing this for a couple of tickets because I did learn something). This is just like I didn't break that rule again and left the dorms as fast as possible

Stuff that occurs in housing is kind of weird. I spoke with the head of housing at my school and they told me that it is not required to disclose anything that occurred in housing IF the case was adjudicated by housing; however, if the case reached the dean of students then you must disclose because there is definitive record of it.

It definitely never made it to the Dean (there's nothing on my Dean cert.)BobLobLaw11 wrote:Stuff that occurs in housing is kind of weird. My issue now mostly has to do with disclosing the last time I applied (now two years ago, not one but whatever). I don't want an adcom to think I'm trying to hide something so dumb if they see it in my previous app

I personally think everything somewhat applicable should be disclosed Just in case. You just never know. It seems better if the adcoms think "that didn't need to be disclosed" than having them think you're being deceitful because they found out about something you didn't think there was a record of. But as Jeeves said before...grain of salt and all that.

Off topic - I just received an email from LSAC and I got really excited thinking it was my last LOR. It was just a notice to confirm my picture for the LSAT. Womp Womp.

I would disclose, and in like 2 sentences. That sounds like a completely whack offense anyways and didn't even involve substances (which apparently they dont care about anyway)Dr.Degrees_Cr.Cash wrote:It definitely never made it to the Dean (there's nothing on my Dean cert.)BobLobLaw11 wrote:Stuff that occurs in housing is kind of weird. If you have your LSAT score, I feel like you'll be fine. I have a few versions that I wrote awhile ago, and I need to sort of just start going through them and revising them.TheMikey wrote:at least you have a solid reason. i'm just a lazy SOBKopetz wrote:same. taking on a second job during applications season may have been a mistake on my partTheMikey wrote:34iplaw wrote:Damn, this thread took off.and i still haven't started my PS LMAO

Nice! At least you got that out of the way. One of mine says In progress and the other says not acknowledged. But I've spoken with both profs and the one who hasn't acknowledged it I guess is just waiting or something because she told me she got the LSAC email, sooo idunno lol.ponderingmeerkat wrote:Oh shit...just got notification that my second LOR has been processed by LSAC. Had one recommender sent via snail mail and the other electronically. The snail mail LOR never went "acknowledged" and the electronic one "acknowledged" just a few hours before it went final. FWIW.
