This. Definitely this.

Because we all know adcoms everywhere are compensated on TLS forum post counts.
Rumor has it USNWR is including that in next year's rankings
There goes Yale's #1 ranking....
Too real :D

Interesting. What do you guys think counts as early for applying? I sent mine in the first week of October and didn't get the thank you email until today. I'm not sure there's been any pattern.

My interviewer said the first ASW was February 15th, so admits have to happen at least three weeks before that right? Anything less than 20 days to plan a weekend trip to NYC would be super expensive and hard esp for working people

Assert your admissions dominance, book your trip now, burn the refund policies to please the many-faced admissions gods

All adcoms must admit.

Long time lurker breaking radio silence due to pent-up nerves. I'm at median LSAT and >75th on GPA. Is there any reason I should worry about not getting an interview request?

Edit: I've been complete since 10/6

Well I think the consensus ITT may have a different answer than simply yes or no.

Looking back to previous cycles and this one, we have seen interviews coming for either borderline candidates or possible scholarship recipients. So that means that no interview isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Also, even though you went complete pretty early, most of us expect little movement until third week of January.

I'm getting ready to submit my application. Should I write a "Why Columbia" essay or just the standard two page essay? Any comments are welcome. Thank you in advance.
If you have something good to write, personally I would write it. A sincere and demonstrated interest can only help.

Did anyone admitted receive any kind of further instruction after the PDF letter?

I'm beginning to get anxious as I haven't got any communication after that.

I was admitted on November 16th and haven't received anything ever since.

I had the audacity (stupidity) to ask them what's up, and this was their response:

"Congratulations once again on your admission to Columbia Law School! We are thrilled that you will be joining the Columbia community. At this point, there are no additional steps that you need to take. The Office of Admissions will be in touch with you throughout the coming weeks, and we will send you materials regarding visitation, enrollment, and other pertinent information by the end of January. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! "

I was an ED admit in a previous cycle and the next piece of communication I got from them was a physical mail package with more information. I didn't get another email until February when the details about admitted students programs and things like that started coming in.

I did not, I went to campus and spoke with an admissions person, but that was initiated by me (and by the fact that I was in NYC for a weekend).
