Penn c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016) Forum

Just in case anyone is as curious (or paranoid) as I am, the first decision day of 2015 was Friday, Jan 9th (the first friday that admissions was open)

So hopefully Monday

How do you get Monday from that? If it goes according to last year, it would be around the Friday 8th or even the 11th. It would be great if it came out this Monday, but coming back from the long break? Nahh

I should have used or or to convey my sarcasm hah. I want to be a Monday hopeful It is probable that they could be sitting on some decisions from last week but didn't want to make the calls on Thursday due to not having the acceptance packets prepared.

Feel kind of dumb asking this, but has anyone else still not applied yet?

I'm still waiting for my LSAT score and at this point, I'm considering waiting until next cycle just so I could apply early in the game. Even if I do get the score I need, how much at a disadvantage do you guys think I would be in applying late January?

It doesn't seem like Penn has sent out much in the way of acceptances currently (based on TLS response), but you can check LSN to see if people have reported there. It may not affect you as much as at a school like Duke or UVA who have already accepted a bunch in the way of Duke's PT and UVA's fairly quick turnaround time. It is definitely better to get it in earlier, but there are going to be lots of people waiting to either apply or update their apps with the Dec LSAT score, so I don't think you are too much in the hole. Only slightly behind if I had to put a description on it (which can be made up for by a >median/75th LSAT score coming in, no doubt).

I don't think it's a sign of a ding, necessarily, just that you might have a slow reader/the holidays.

I think so far it's looked like about a week - there's some discussion a few pages back from those who already got in. With the holiday break they had, that might not be too helpful, though.
