Hi Everyone,
Hi, I'm a current 2L at UCLA. I'll answer any questions anyone might have. Also, if you're moving to Westwood early, I'm subletting my half of a 2BR/2BA apartment (so you get 1BR/BA) for June/July in Westwood. It's located on Veteran, on the edge of Westwood Village and is within walking distance to everything you need, including groceries. Furnished apartment with all cookware, etc.
Parking included and within a short drive to Century City, Santa Monica, Culver City, etc.
Asking $1,400/month which includes all utilities, high speed internet, and TV.
Email me for more details!

Waitlisted and visiting the school and sitting in on a class soon. Can anyone give me any tips when visiting and speaking to an admissions counselor ?

Rob Schwartz makes all the acceptance calls and he is incredibly friendly. Just try to chat with him I guess. Tell him how interested you are and ask if he has tips on how to get off the waitlist/ask him how they decide who comes off the waitlist.owmeow wrote:Waitlisted and visiting the school and sitting in on a class soon. Any updates from the ASW?? How many people showed up? Projected class size and so on. How many have deposited already?

I showed up but mostly to check out the campus and get free lunch. Maybe 100 other students were there? Maybe a bit more.
Not sure how may people have deposited. Is that something the dean would have disclosed had I asked? Either way, I didn't ask.

Hey there, for those who have been accepted, would you mind sharing the phone number that the acceptance call came from? Currently WL, and every time I get a phone call from an LA area code I freak out so it would be nice to know the actual number in case I do get the call...or at least help me calm down if I don't! Thanks!

I'm sure, like any school, they would prefer you didn't. But I looked and didn't see any official statement in any of their written communications about it, and based on my conversations with them I think they understand that some people will need to double deposit until they have final offers/decisions/info. If you're in that situation, I wouldn't worry about it.Lawgirl101 wrote:How does UCLA view double depositing?

They told me at an earlier event that they expected the class size to remain consistent with last year's at ~300, and the 3L I sat with at lunch yesterday mentioned 320.Finalfan wrote:Any updates from the ASW??
