i've been at 2nd rev too since monday and was super nervous all week since a lot of people thought there was gonna be a massive wave today (friday)LawsRUs wrote:^^ congrats on the monies!!

o shit
i just checked my status checker
i didn't know my app was in rev. because it was on hold for the longest time
it's at 2nd committee rev.
super nervous!!
does anyone know what is the general timeline after 2nd rev to decision?
also, is 2nd com rev. bad?
no wave happened and i'm still at 2nd review
as for your second question apparently looking through the 2016 and 2017 thread pretty much almost everyone if not everyone who got accepted got a 2nd review unless they had monster numbers
hope that helps and good luck

Those who have been accepted, did you all go through 2nd committee review? Someone brought up that observation a little earlier. Is there a pattern forming?JanetYellen wrote:LawsRUs wrote:^^ congrats on the monies!!

Thanks! General timeline for me was after 2nd committee review it was a little less than a week. Then Final Review --> Decision Finalized --> (a few hours later) decision\

I went back on these pages and to last year's thread, here are definitely people who jumped straight from first->final-> decision and got in, and some jumped complete->final->decision and got in.LaraCroftEsq wrote:Those who have been accepted, did you all go through 2nd committee review? I applied last year, did not get 2nd committee review, and got a denial. This year, however, I went to 2nd committee and got in.lizzielemon wrote:I went back on these pages and to last year's thread, here are definitely people who jumped straight from first->final-> decision and got in, and some jumped complete->final->decision and got in.LaraCroftEsq wrote:Those who have been accepted, did you all go through 2nd committee review? i went back and read this entire thread, and some parts of 2017; sry to join late, i thought usc put my app on hold due to feb lsat score. my sc still has an unchecked box for "No pending lsat score," but apparently, they're processing it..why? im super nervous
monday is going to either a very very good day or a very very bad day for me: probably both my lsat score and USC decision will roll in..not looking forwd to mon. tbh
submitted my usc app early dec.

Part of me wonders if the 2nd committee has anything to do with scholarship decisions...JanetYellen wrote: I applied last year, did not get 2nd committee review, and got a denial. This year, however, I went to 2nd committee and got in.

Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
Hello! Forgive me if this has already been answered. I started to read back and gave up after a few pages. Is there any sort of consensus about what the different committee reads mean? PErhaps patterns that have been discussed?
I changed to "Committee 1st read" 2/24 after going complete onnnnn.... ummmm 1/12, I think.
Do all applications go to committee 1st read? Are there any statuses that have been identified as not being good? patterns?
Thanks all...

Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
Everyone goes through Committee 1st read. Committee 2nd read may or may not be a good sign. From past years' threads and this year's cycle, it seems that most who went under the 2nd read gained acceptance within a week or so. However, USC's website says, "It is entirely normal for a large number of our applications to receive a second committee review and it should not be taken as a sign (positive or negative) regarding the outcome of your application."BuffaloBillsFan wrote:Hello! They did last year if you can find older threads. It doesn't hurt to try.
