It means you're more borderline than someone who got in without it. Better than a reject for sure.kendallr12 wrote:My UR status still hasn't changed.
Is it a good thing or a bad thing to be pushed to FR?

Waitlist

For those who are hearing back during this wave--when did you all submit?

WL via email. Curious about waitlist, does anyone have insight on how it works? I saw the mention about quartile rankings, do they rank based on stats or is it just more random based on how much they like you overall as an applicant? How likely is it to get off the WL?

No idea how they do the quartile rankings, but movement off the WL is pretty merciless.ithrowds wrote:WL via email. Curious about waitlist, does anyone have insight on how it works? Rejected. LSAT > 75%. 75% > GPA > 50%.

Dinged - FR1, LSAT>75, GPA<25
Best of luck to everyone else! But man, two rejection/waitlists in two days while being stuck home sick. This really isn't my week.

Wow. Rejected. Not even a waitlist. Damn. Above both 75ths, no c&f issues.
I can't even be angry because this is so weird

300 people on WL in total. Only 270 seats for admission. I'd say that if you're not in the top 50 on the WL, then it's pretty much a rejection. I'm not expecting anything here

This must sting a lot but with those kind of numbers you'll undoubtedly have other great options.

I'm more confused than upset. Wouldn't YP be a waitlist? Fortunately, I have gotten scholarship invites so this week isn't a complete disaster.ticklemesilly wrote:Must be YP. =(NotASpecialSnowflake wrote:Wow. Rejected. Not even a waitlist. Damn. Above both 75ths, no c&f issues.

I'm in a similar boat, but then if YP, my question is why not WL and let us off easy?ticklemesilly wrote:Must be YP. =(NotASpecialSnowflake wrote:Wow. Rejected. Not even a waitlist. Damn. Above both 75ths, no c&f issues.

my status still says UR - since 1-12. Maybe all those accepted/rejected today are either FR1 or UR from prior to Jan1?

Cruel day to get a spam voicemail from the Bay (though I've been complete since Nov and didn't get FR so a ding is totally on its way...)
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
