Re: University of Texas C/O 18 Applicants
Getting worried here...LSAT >75th; GPA <25th, but w/o first semester (legit family/medical issue explained in addendum) GPA>50th. OOS.
According to status checker, Application complete 12/1. Nothing since, not even under review. No why Texas. Anyone else in a similar position?

I don't have an answer re: timing/oos issues, but the Texas checker never goes under review. you stay at complete until you get a decision, so no worries on that front.eeebbb wrote:Getting worried here...LSAT >75th; GPA <25th, but w/o first semester (legit family/medical issue explained in addendum) GPA>50th. Also applied early decision, but was held for regular decision, presumably waiting on my December LSAT score (which came back much better than the first). In state. Hope to hear something soon.

Congrats, that's great. They called you this morning? I have some weird feeling I'm going to hear back today, good or bad news.
Have any in-state applicants been asked to write a Why Texas? I haven't and I'm curious.

Congrats to the new admits!
I'm about to have to start chanting no news is good news. The MBA program only took 3 weeks to respond. What the heck is taking law admissions so long?! (rhetorical question)

I sent in an updated resume with my current internship, but it had a typo. I very quickly fixed it and wrote apologizing for the mistake with the typo-less resume. I feel like a huge idiot, am I overreacting?

Hope so! I just hope it didn't reflect too poorly on me to send in a resume with a typo. I just started this new internship and it's full time, so I kind of rushed the edit during my lunch break.

Yea, check out the Spivey thread, he said ALWAYS update even for small typos. Also, keep in mind it is not the decision maker updating your file - just some poor unfortunate intern or the like.nicefunguy wrote: Hope so! I haven't seen the thread but I sent it in within a day or two. Thanks for the reassurance. My heart stops whenever I get a phone number from the 512 area code, which is a lot because I'm in Austin, lol.
