Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
@ current students - I'm visiting WashU next tuesday (going to a 3 o'clock class I believe) - any suggestions on what I should do while I'm on campus?

Although you don't get to go there much at all during the course of the semester, I'd look at the rest of the campus outside of Anheuser Busch hall, since it's pretty epic, and truly looks like Hogwarts. I'd look at the library, all five floors, since that will be where you'll spend most of your time; then I'd go to the Knight Center, next door to Anheuser Busch hall. There is a bar that's open from 4:30 PM to 10 PM. That's where you'll likely get dranks immediately after your day has come to a close.

Lol, I just read a few threads back - no, I wouldn't qualify as I'm already married, but I hope you're able to find the girl!scottidsntknow wrote:I'm assuming this 0L is a female based on the name, and the only 0L I would want to out on here is the one that I want to marry and I don't think she would qualify.rebexness wrote:Stop tricking the 0ls into outting themselves, scottiscottidsntknow wrote:Awesome! I visited a few Fridays ago and did interview at the same time, amazing place imo!

Hogwarts describes it perfectly - Naomi and I couldn't stop drawing Hogwarts comparisons during my tour...and I could live quite happily in the library tower.Jmart082 wrote:Although you don't get to go there much at all during the course of the semester, I'd look at the rest of the campus outside of Anheuser Busch hall, since it's pretty epic, and truly looks like Hogwarts. Omg Naomi is great. And the library tour gets hot though and internet is shoddy up there.Lillet71 wrote:Hogwarts describes it perfectly - Naomi and I couldn't stop drawing Hogwarts comparisons during my tour...and I could live quite happily in the library tower.Jmart082 wrote:Although you don't get to go there much at all during the course of the semester, I'd look at the rest of the campus outside of Anheuser Busch hall, since it's pretty epic, and truly looks like Hogwarts. The bar in the building next door sounds like it could be dangerous.

There's nothing wrong with $12 buckets of beer on Thirsty Thursday. Believe me, you'll want some intoxicating refreshment come 5 PM. I do like how they had the good sense to realize that maybe having a full service bar directly inside of the law school probably wasn't the best option; better to make us vacate the premises before getting two sheets to the wind.

Just moved from ED to RD. Not entirely shocked as my LSAT score was breathtakingly short of PT averages...Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is a letter. A letter from WU Law asking me to come and study in the Hogwarts library tower for the next 3 glorious years...

Yes, I'm going to keep the faith for now and hope my softs/work experience will be enough. I cannot leave the St Louis area, so I only have two options for law...Do you know if the rejection rate is high once you've been bumped to RD?scottidsntknow wrote:Ah sorry to hear, but at least you weren't rejected!Lillet71 wrote:Just moved from ED to RD. Also I mean if they wanted to reject you they would have straight up rejected you. I explained in a previous post that admissions is being more choosy with who they accept and therefore taking more time to see how the applicant pool shapes up.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
Just did my interview. It was pretty stress free. I was told that this year they have difficult decisions to make because their applications are going up, so I may need to wait for a while to hear from them. I was a reverse splitter(LSAT below median and GPA above 75%).

Ugh all this talk about selectivity and more apps is making me nervous.
I also applied ED (sorry TLS, I know you told me not to, but my family and I decided it made the most sense for me) and have one week left of my two week decision window.

More people applying and they need to admit less. I'd bet money on the stats going up this year... bad for all us 0Ls but good for you 1Ls!scottidsntknow wrote:Also I mean if they wanted to reject you they would have straight up rejected you. This year there seems to be less rigidity, I've heard of other offers.peachesthedoge wrote:taptaptop wrote:I don't know where I read this (probably this thread), maybe $200?griffin3575 wrote:Just got my travel stipend email, but no amount was given?? How much do they usually give out?
