Confused

I would probably just not mark it. However, the smart answer is to give the admissions office a call. You have a good question, and I'm sure they'd be happy to answer it.Howl wrote:I'm sorry if this has been asked earlier in the thread, but what are we supposed to do about the dual degree question section on the app? The one I'm interested in doesn't start screening law students for the second degree until late in 2L, so I'm quite at a loss why it's on the law school app...are we supposed to select it and indicate our interest anyways? (Although there is no way to apply for the second degree until I've actually gotten in and started the 2L year?)

I had the same uncertainty, I called and they said I didn't have to answer that question. I'm still a little nervous because the person I talked to seemed slightly unsure, but I'm sure it's fine. I will probably bring up that I want to apply to the dual degree if/when I have my JS1.Howl wrote:I'm sorry if this has been asked earlier in the thread, but what are we supposed to do about the dual degree question section on the app? One of the Profs, who is currently abroad and a bit harder to reach and is older, said he has submitted by email, but I suspect he didn't do it correctly (does it usually take a few days for LSAC to acknowledge when something was submitted by email?); and another from my boss will be in this week.
One already in.
Assuming both will be in within a week or two, would there be any advantage in submitting now and just assigning the LoR's that aren't in yet to HLS? Would they see it/ would it go complete sooner once the LoR's actually get in, or would it make no difference and I should hold off until the LoR's are received by LSAC?
First interview was actually 10/22Sourrudedude wrote:So I was doing some thinking and last year's timeline was something like this:
First JS1 invites: ~10/31
First interviews: ~11/05
First JS2: ~11/20
-or-
JS1--+5 days--> Interview --+15 days--> JS2
This year we're looking like:
First JS1 invites: ~10/16
First interviews: ~10/24
First JS2: ?
-or-
JS1--+8 days--> Interview
So in conclusion, I had a boring Sunday afternoon and read some of last year's thread but I still think JS2s won't come until week of Thanksgiving.
And the first JS1 was on 10/15 so it is a 7 day gap. But you did put ~ which i am guessing you meant to indicate an approximation.crazyrobin wrote:First interview was actually 10/22Sourrudedude wrote:So I was doing some thinking and last year's timeline was something like this:

There were couple people got interviewed on that day.
How long is the typical wait for a JS1 after apps go complete? I expect mine to be complete soon, so if I were to get a JS1, when would it probably come by?crazyrobin wrote:First interview was actually 10/22Sourrudedude wrote:So I was doing some thinking and last year's timeline was something like this:

I would submit as soon as I had the minimum number of recs, then encourage my professor who was holding out to hurry up.wtrc wrote:I've got everything ready to go for HLS, just waiting on 2 LoR's. Above both 75ths too, apparently. Now I don't feel so bad about not having my JS1 invite yet.twentypercentmore wrote:He applied mid October for what it's worth.
