1L from W&L here. My understanding is that under no circumstances will W&L remove the scholarship stipulation. I'm sure it couldn't hurt to try, but to be honest, I haven't heard about anyone freaking out about keeping their scholarships since grades came out anyway. Music scene? As far as I know, there is no music scene. Lexington is a small, isolated Southern town. The area is beautiful, and the town is rather charming, but it's still Lexington. No, there aren't. I'm not sure what you think Lexington is, but whatever you're thinking, stop thinking it. There are two/almost three bars in town. We only go to one. Why do we do this? But, the law school does put on a lot of partying for us (free alcohol provided). And Feb. Club is about to start, in which the school funds something like two themed parties per week, held at different law students' houses, with all the alcohol you could want. You just have to buy a $40 bracelet for the month.
Also, there are no malls. The closest one is in Roanoke, a little under an hour away.
And there is more than one stoplight, so I don't think you would call it a one stoplight town.
If you're from a big city, nothing I can tell you on a forum is going to properly explain it. You just have to see it.
Now there's a charge.
