Not necessarily. There are plenty of examples of people on LSN who applied in October/November and were accepted in March/April. I wouldn't give up hope if you haven't heard anything yet.

lol I submitted on SEPTEMBER 18th! My status hasnt even updated beyond going complete on SEPTEMBER 20th!

Friends, friends, friends... chill out. It's going to be alright. Granted, Im a sub 170-er, so my chances are like 1% and therefore you all probably understand my lack of obsessive status checking. But take it for what it's worth. The fact that Stanford Law is even a realistic option for you all means that life is good. Just chill. It'll figure itself out.

Yeah you should retake the LSAT and apply next cycle.

Half of Stanford's class has under 170. Keep hope!

Stanford definitely goes back. They are very stingy on the first time through, and many people get in in March/April, regardless of application date. With a small class, it seems like they want to know exactly what pool they are dealing with before extending too many admissions.

I got an acceptance call very recently. Was not expecting to hear so soon! I went complete in mid-November. Still in undergrad and waiting to hear from H and Y, but pretty excited. Good luck to all!

So the TLS consensus is that Stanford doesn't exactly go in order of completion dates?

I think LSN suggests they have been moving in order of completion dates now, but the comment was indicating that they later go back and review older files? The first wave seemed to be just September admits and then the next wave was October and the latest were November, but I may be wrong there. Anyways, good luck to those of you waiting!

Congrats to all the admits of late. I have a question that was probably fielded sometime in September here. I submitted last week but have not yet received a status checker email. Does anybody know the usual wait?

Thanks in advance and good luck to everybody.

Same boat. Submitted minutes after my LSAT score came through. I've gotten an email saying my app was received, but no complete email or status checker info. They're probably just a little slower now since it's later in the game. I'm not worried.

does stanford ever straight-up offer fee waivers? or does everyone need to go through their request process?

i got a massive packet from them today (i haven't applied), with a pretty significant amount of stuff from their SLSSA group urging me to apply, and to request a fee waiver (i'm mexican).

i was going apply in november with the rest of my apps, but thought it wasn't worth it. now i may be reconsidering, even though it's pretty late. 3.37/167/mexican, (ca resident, if relevant). would you apply?

I got a similar massive packet with a fee waiver, though it is at my house and I'm at school so I don't really know what else is in it.

I wasn't going to spend $116, but for $16 I'm going to give it a shot.

$16 for a shot sounds like a good deal. I didn't know they gave away ANY fee waivers.

Are you guys receiving fee waivers or applications to apply for fee waivers? Either way it's encouraging but I'm fairly certain they only give need based waivers.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
