Sorry guys, i'm looking for some advice.

I ED'd to UVA and signed up for the December LSAT as I just got a 164, which is on the lower end of my range. I really do want to attend UVA and would prefer not to have to retake. My file is currently on hold and I need to tell them to proceed or wait until my December scores arrive. Stats: 164, 3.33, weak softs, 2yr WE, MA URM. Thoughts?

Doesn't look good for you with the 164. The hispanic URM, even for being Mexican, isn't enough to push you over the top IMO. If there's where you're set on, I'd have em wait.

I got a call from Dean Richard today. Since I know UVA calls people for acceptances, I kinda started freaking out. Turns out she just had a few questions about my application . At least they don’t hate my app enough to immediately throw it in the trash! I guess I know I’m under review now.

That's odd. When she called me, that's how my conversation started out. She said she just had a few questions about my application, and then after about 3 or 4 minutes of talking, she told me I was in.

I was RD, will be requesting fin.aid, no Why V? essay, I am out of state, no have a nice fall email from alum or email to call admissions. I got a fee waiver through CRS I think primarily bc of my LSAT score. Otherwise no contact from UVA at all until the Dean called me. I really don't think there's any pattern to this at all.

I live in Va. and my residency status still says pending. I faxed in my residency form last Tues. 10/25 -- five days before submitting my app.

Is anyone else experiencing delays with UVA processing their residency form? I called the Virginia Status Office and they said they're processing a high-volume right now and I'd get an email when it was processed.

I applied ED and got in, however, a week before I got the call saying I was admitted, Dean Richard called me and asked me a few questions about my app too.

So, don't fret, and look at the phone call as some form of good news!

I too had an early call from Dean Richards before getting in. I think I was accepted a few hours later via the status checker, but then they changed that so you couldn't tell. It was several days later before I got the accepted call. I think that was the case for all of the very first ED applicants that got in too.

That office verifies residency for undergrad and other grad programs. I'm still surprised it's taking a week to process.

I actually didn't write one. Which made me feel terrible because I actually learned more about UVA and their YPing ways after I applied and the more I learned about the school, the more interested I was. So really I wasn't sure if I would even be accepted and I got this awesome news instead. Hopefully there are many more phonecalls on the way for the TLSers!

The Dean I spoke to said he would email me more info and I still haven't got it a few hours later. I am seriously afraid he may have called the wrong applicant
