Well, it looks like I survived the deferral wave. However, I suppose that was to be expected given my fairly late complete date.

I still have yet to hear anything. I dont think my application is bad enough to warrant an outright rejection (LSAT 175, GPA 3.75, direct from undergrad), but I have not heard as part of the first round of deferrals

I don't know what to make of an ED fall grade request, anyone else get one?

thanks bro. I have been getting other acceptances in the t-14, so i am not too worried about actually attending law school, but columbia is really my dreamStrange wrote:unknownnumbers wrote:I still have yet to hear anything. You aren't deferred because you're a lock to get in.unknownnumbers wrote:I still have yet to hear anything. I dont think my application is bad enough to warrant an outright rejection (LSAT 175, GPA 3.75, direct from undergrad), but I have not heard as part of the first round of deferrals

Not sure how I should proceed. I'm debating whether to ED to UVA or to send a "Why NYU" letter to NYU telling them that if they accept me, I'll go 100%. A deferral from Columbia has always been pretty much a rejection in the past cycles, so I'm not going to put too much hope on it.

Yeah NYU has been insane. If Columbia dumps me and then NYU rejects me RD, I'll feel really stupid.

Not sure when you submitted, but you are probably in at NYU based on how this cycle is going. I wouldn't ED UVA.KevinP wrote:Not sure how I should proceed. I feel like not having heard anything at this point is just an indication that a rejection letter is on the way. While I have a fairly solid GPA with an engineering major, URM, fairly decent softs, and what I feel like is a good PS, my LSAT was several points below practice.
Womp. Not holding out much hope.

Coi, I think you're in a strong position for NU. Michigan might give you a look too?
NYU is killing me right now. CLS was going to be tough for me because of GPA but I'm hoping someone throws me a bone

The latest ED acceptance reported last year on LSN was on 12-23.

yup i got one as well. It is quite frustrating. I feel as if it is a ploy to make us wait further so they can get a peak at the January applicants.bluthbanana wrote:I don't know what to make of an ED fall grade request, anyone else get one?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
