I know UofC sounds not quite friendly to international students. But how bad is it? an auto rejection/wl?
BTW, I am from China, not European countries, which I believe, would be slightly different.

What's your LSAT score/transcript ranking?rachelwang712 wrote:I know UofC sounds not quite friendly to international students. But how bad is it? an auto rejection/wl?

My transcript is evaluated as "superior". I dont have a US GPA but according to my school's grading system, I am 3.81 out of 4.00.

That search only includes people with LSAC GPAs - i.e., US educated internationals. They tend to be evaluated differently than foreign-educated internationals. Although, in this case I think the conclusion is the same either way.JamMasterJ wrote:Probably a Waitlistrachelwang712 wrote:my LSAT is 171.

There appear to be only two non-US educated internationals who applied to Chicago on LSN for the last cycle. This guy has almost exactly the same numbers as rachelwang (171 and a transcript GPA of 3.86), and he was waitlisted:

The only other guy had a 177 and a "superior" evaluation, and he was waitlisted also:

Thank you for the response. I thought about applying as ED but because of some change in my family financial situation, I ended up applying as RD.
Would it matter if I had chosen ED track? And also the fact that I am from Asia not Europe?

I really have no idea to the first, though ED always helps. As to the difference between Asian and Euro, I doubt it.rachelwang712 wrote:Thank you for the response. I thought about applying as ED but because of some change in my family financial situation, I ended up applying as RD.

Decided today at the last minute to change my app to ED.
Big longshot with 3.8/167, but I'm hoping that my softs will help me out.

Good luck!! I'm ED as well and my numbers aren't too different from yours. Hopefully it goes well for both of us.grtbooks91 wrote:Decided today at the last minute to change my app to ED.

It's silly to think that 2 questions on a ~100 question test can make such a difference (and I'd argue that they shouldn't), but they do.

luxxe, you're almost a lock. grt- where exactly on the 3.8 scale are you? I ask b/c you're near the median and if they make a push to raise the LSAT median, your gpa may start looking more attractivepotl wrote:and a 169.JamMasterJ wrote:luxxe, you have a 4.0 dude. Right at 3.8, unfortunately, so there's probably little hope for that. What little optimism I have stems from my UG's close ties with UChicago and my LR and PS that reflect that.

3.95/168/2 years WE/from a top20 undergrad. Applied the first day apps came out RD. A long shot reach but hopefully U of C wants to lock down a solid GPA early on. Would love to see some of you guys in Hyde Park!

When the time comes, does anyone have any idea how Chicago notifies us with a decision? E-mail? Call? Snail mail?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
