It's not just you, they don't negotiate. Period.
Geez, I feel like a broken record. Never hurts to try, but if you read this thread and the threads from previous years and still decide to try you must think you're a special snowflake to succeed where many others have failed.

Question is- even all of us who will be WL'd, is it possible to receive scholarship once we are taken off of WL?
SMU acceptance without a scholarship is pointless in my book. Way too expensive.
I have friends who got in off the WL with $$.

I did read most this thread and yes I do consider myself a "special snowflake," too bad I'm not special enough.

Mine has always said Completed and I'm still at 2/16. This is probably what I deserved for sending it in like Feb. 3. Personally I am hoping to not hear until after U of H's first deadline so maybe have leverage over there once money clears up when all their "big" 10k a year scholly offers pull out and go elsewhere. Like Titleist pointed out I can't even think about going here at sticker.

Its the only thing you can really do about them is laugh. My honest reaction when they congratulated me on my 2500 Scholarship a year was "Ah, that's cute..."

My status checker changed on Thursday. I'm not sure what to make of it. I submitted my application a few months ago, but hadn't seen any change until then.
I applied for both the part-time and full-time programs. I don't know if my scores are sufficient for full-time, since I applied RD instead of ED.
Here's hoping....
And to everyone on here, good luck!

With your stats I bet you get money for FT. Good luck.

i couldn't bring myself to withdraw...but I also didn't want to pay the deposit. I think these seat deposits are going to eliminate the schools I am heavily considering, but wouldn't end up attending. So I guess 78k back in the pot for somebody

My status changed to 4/2/12. What does this mean? Decision for me soon?

When I went to look at my application status is only shows for Part Time. I know I applied for both Full Time and Part Time but when I do the drop down arrow for "program type" it only gives me the option for Part Time.
What is going on? Am I the only one who has this?

I also applied for both FT and PT, but my program time changed to just Full Time (used to say Full Time/Part Time). Hmmm...

It most likely means SMU has placed you both. Good news is you're probably in. Bad news is that it may not be the program you wanted.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
