Huh. I haven't been checking the FAAPS status much since I saw it go to "Final Stage of Review" on 3/8. But you inspired me to check again just now and it appears to have changed a bit. It now says "Under Review" 3/8 and "Final Stage of Review" 3/17. If I had to guess, I'd say it means the IT department did some cleansing of a database between then and now, perhaps on top of some actual movement of my status. Whatever it is, I'd like to revert back to not obsessing about whether I'm getting scholarship money from NYU. I was less stressed out when I was thinking that the only new information I'd be getting would come in the form of an email offer/non-offer direct from admissions.

The sender only showed up as "JD Admiss" on my blackberry screen so I figured at the bare minimum it had to be useful information whether it was a scholarship notification or an official rejection. Instead NYU breaks their radio silence by sending my something about an apparently useless program. Thanks. 3 weeks in 'final' review and no sound other than me grinding my teeth.

You guys think you have it rough? I've been committed to NYU for 3 months now and I still can't even get my parents to finish needaccess lol... The worst part is that they're divorced so they just look at the screen and see the other one hasn't finished and then they don't finish. At least I can take solace in the fact I wasn't getting aid anyways.

That e-mail yesterday nearly killed me, I'm still annoyed!

I have been in "Final Stage of Review" since FEBRUARY 23rd. Ugh, NYU COME ON, just tell me that you aren't giving me anything already!

You need to fill it out Need Access for need-based aid, but for merit aid only, you can just fill out the institutional form (go to the FAAPS site, then select My Application, then Option C). You only need to fill out your information - no parental information is required.

Yeah, I ED'd so I'm not getting merit aid. I'm going all out to prove I'm personally broke as hell, but I doubt they'll care (especially considering the parental income...)

I talked with the admissions office earlier this week - sounds like RTK invites could still be coming as late as next Monday. Not that much longer to wait!

Wow. I mean, I really want an RTK interview. I'm going on vacation next week, though, and will have to cut it short if I'm given one. Just let me know already!

I just got RTK dinged by email. It sounds like this goes for all the named scholarships.

We have contacted the applicants who have been selected as finalists for the AnBryce Scholarship, Bickel & Brewer Scholarship, Furman Academic Scholarship Program, Institute for International Law and Justice Scholarship, Leadership Program in Law and Business, and the Root-Tilden-Kern Scholarship. Unfortunately, you were not selected as a finalist.

Just got the no-RTK e-mail, but it does say "I might still be eligible for a Dean's Scholarship" and helpfully encourages me to fill out NeedAccess!!
