Placed on hold. Didn't get an email or anything, just noticed it on my um page. Looks like it's going to be a long wait...

+1. Im somewhat surprised by that because I thought I could just get admitted. They say my 2nd review will take place before April 30th, but I have seat deposits due before then so I will have made my decision before that time. I think I will just withdraw.

Where do you guys see this information? Would it be in personal messages in the My UM webpage? I feel like they have the worst status check.

Accepted 12/9 with a 161/3.23... any chance I'll receive $? I know a lot of people that were accepted in december already received money...

I was accepted 11/16 and found out in late December that I got the 24k scholarship. I had a 161/3.45, and I'm pretty sure I've seen people with numbers similar to yours get the same scholarship. Good luck!

I was selected as a Miami Scholar. I'm local, so I was able to visit campus and meet with Dean Marni Lennon, the dean who oversees the program. She said that they're accepting people to the program in several rounds, so maybe you're in the upcoming round. Give them a call and check in to see where your application stands. I believe her assistant's name is Andrea.

I applied for Miami Scholars, but haven't heard anything yet. I went complete on 1/6, no word since...

On a side note, I got accepted to Indiana with full tuition scholarship, so it looks like that's where I will end up. Would prefer south Florida, but no way I can turn down the $$$.

Oh so you haven't been admitted yet...I'm in since December...it concerns me that they don't interview all the applicants they're interested in around the same time...or even interview them in the same way...some ppl are interviewed over the phone...some in person...and ppl have already gotten in...

Thanks for posting your timeline, saffire. I submitted and was accepted on the exact same days as you. But I haven't heard about scholarships yet. Just wondering, how were you notified of the scholarships? Email, postal service, Fedex?

Emailed admissions about scholarship info being sent out. They said it will begin in March (for those who didn't apply for MS or anything like that)

I actually applied around 20 Dec without a reportable LSAT if that makes a difference for Miami; then LSAC reports were generated around 10 Jan. 165/3.6

3.59 & 159. I called about any possible scholarship money. The person on the other line said priority was given to those who were accepted before the second or third week in January, so I just missed it . Still hoping for at least some money.

I was notified of Dean's Merit through email, and a letter (postal) followed in the mail.
For the MS interview, I was also initially notified by email, and the interview took place on webcam.
I was notified of Miami Scholars acceptance through email, and a letter will follow in the mail.

On a side note, and I don't know whether it helped, after receiving Dean's Merit, I emailed the director of student recruitment to ask whether I was still in the running for a Miami Scholars scholarship and she said I was. She also sent me a handwritten note, the Miami Law magazine, and a flash drive. I was asked to be interviewed 6 days later.

Is that the only one? And is it only one day? Do you know if Miami offers any kind of travel stipends or anything like that?
