Hopefully! I just missed ASW last cycle and I look forward to learning all about UM. Everything about the school has been pleasant and enjoyable.
Has anybody else noticed that their admissions office is incredibly nice? Seriously, they respond to everything with, "Thanks for updating us! We're so happy you've chosen to apply and look forward to..." NYU's office doesn't even sign their e-mails with a name...

He's hibernating for law school application season. He'll be back though!

Have any other ED applicants heard back? It seems very odd that Michigan would stray away from their pattern of the first wave of ED admits coming out the week of Thanksgiving...

Yes, it makes my day when they finish one of their sentences with an exclamation point! haha
Every day, new valentines come to mind.
Dear Michigan,
If roses were maize, and violets were blue
the wolverines rock!
and I love you!

Uh yeah they're amazing. I was freaking out about an addendum that I didn't know if I needed to send in, and they sent this SUPER NICE e-mail about it that was all reassuring and lovely. NYU/Chicago were cool about it. Harvard clearly didn't even read the e-mail and were like, "...send us a letter" when I was just asking a question.
But Michigan's response was wonderful <3 I love them.

It does seem weird last week with the two days when they didn't update our status checker. However, it's kinda back to the trend now. Hopefully there are some new decisions at the end of this week and ED decisions next week.
wildcat, do you know if dooriedoodle EDed?

Which of the optional essays did you write? I wrote 2 of them. My why Mich ties in with my educational experiences as well. If you feel strongly, write one up and update them. You could always wait until if you get WL'ed, but if you can write a good one now send it in.
I didn't write any -_-
A mix of confidence / not really knowing I wanted to go to Mich
I guess I'll just write one and send it in if I get WLd

If you get WL'd you won't hear until February (though you can probably figure it out if you don't get accepted by the end of 2010).

Truth. I guess, yeah, if I don't get in by end of Dec I'll send one in.
Dulcat, I forgot how almost exactly similar we are numbers-wise. Did you write any optional essays?

I wrote a Why Mich, but not a second one because I couldn't think of anything that wasn't suuuper lame. And I actually had stuff to say for a Why Mich that wasn't completely stupid (I hope...).

just wait to check the admitted student site until you get the "decision" status update

Me too. And Michigan's status checker is officially one of my top viewed pages, according to Safari.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
