Visited this week… was blown away by the facilities and faculty. Very helpful staff as well! Now I just need to get off the WL...

Complete in early Dec and still waiting.

*Deep sigh*

ND would probably be my 1st option if accepted, so...would be nice to hear back soon.

Are you guys going to the Open House? I can't make April 8th b/c it's UNC's and I am not sure if I can attend March 25th. Does ND offer campus tours during the week?

For what it's worth... I found out that I was accepted in an email. Hope you hear good news soon!!

Is there anyone on this thread who is a current ND student? I am trying to figure out if the apartments at Eddy St Commons are mostly undergrads or grad students? Those weren't around when I was in undergrad @ Nd. Thanks!

Got my packet today. I got 12K a year. I am going to need more than that to go here over UNC. I e-mailed them trying to negotiate more.

Graduated may 2010 and there were almost no undergrads in them, mostly grad students and young employees

Is all notification done by email? Or is that only for acceptances? I'm traveling out of the country next week and would like to avoid having to worry whether anything is in my mailbox while I'm gone.

Do you think if Notre Dame is one of my top choices, it is important I go to the open house?

Well, I am definitely going to visit, I am just not sure if I can make one of the open house events. And I am stressed out as fuck because it's coming down to the wire and I haven't decided between two schools, one being Notre Dame.

I'm from NYC, but I like the small town feel, however I don't love the "hick town" feel. Am I going to get that vibe from South Bend?

Warning to those who think they will like living in South Bend!!!

I live in South Bend currently and hate it. I live here with my wife who works in South Bend. There is only one good restaurant in the South Bend and Elkhart area (Bonefish). She is a pharma rep so we go out to eat 3 or 4 times a week and have visited countless restaurants; I speak from experience. The options for entertainment are drinking, bowling, and movies. One poster said they were afraid of a hick feel. South Bend is a burned out industrial town that if you weren't in the very center of campus you would not know you were in a college town. If you drive 30 seconds away from campus you are in a very sketchy part of town. If you drive 30 seconds the other direction you are in a corn field.

For those who like culture or a unique social life South Bend is not the place to be. Sure there are a lot of activities sponsored by the school but my view of law school is that you would want an occasional escape from the campus and the law school community to catch your breath.

+1 I went to ND for undergrad, and while it is an amazing school, the city of South Bend SUCKS! After football season is over in the fall, spring semester is absolutely depressing.
