My email was at around 11:30 east coast time...so you're probably safe today.
My stats were 177 highest LSAT (there were retakes) and 3.86 GPA
I think there may have been a lot of little things that did me in, though, when they broke down my raw numbers. For my JS1, I thought it went alright...but I wasn't super enthusiastic for Harvard in it, which they might have taken personally. Oh well, on the plus side I might not need to stress very hard about where I matriculate. Not a K-JD, work experience was internships.

Well, I didn't get into a lot of places that seemed likely. This is probably due to idiosyncrasies in my presentation and application. If you're going to have an interview, be really enthusiastic and upbeat, that's all the advice I can really provide based on my experience...and don't give them any guff about not having a great environmental law program.

I'm buying the "HLS admissions is on Atkins" theory that someone posted earlier. Bushmeat is probably very high protein/low carb. Hey Harvard-- you know what's really high in protein? Roast duck! I won't make you eat me with rice, honestly.

a crap. this doesn't bode well for me then. Cheerios are healthy though right?

I just got back home and read through all these posts. As a K-JD with 75<LSAT and ~25 GPA with no JS1 yet, I'm getting really nervous. I'm shocked at all the great numbers that got dinged.

I don't think who you get is based on the strength of your application. It may be that certain interviewers tend to illicit less favorable responses from applicants though.

Maybe we can get some data on interviewer---->JS2s.

This is what I'm wondering about as well. I'm confident that interviewer assignations really are random, but I'm not sure whether they normalize acceptance rates among each interviewer.

Just asked KB (Karen Buttenbaum-former admissions dean at HLS) about schools in general, and she suggested that adcoms don't care at all about balancing out acceptances among interviewers.

Absolutely floored at how awesome HLS admissions is. I got a signed copy of a book written by a prof of the type of law I'm interested in with a nice personal note welcoming me to the HLS community. JS included a nice letter too saying she figured this would be a nice way to start my own personal law library. This made my day!

Random question. (and congrats to JS2s btw!)

Any value in replying to a rejection with a reaffirmation of interest and mentioning that I plan to reapply during a future cycle?

Might go to grad school first, then reapply to law schools. Could a response like this help? Hurt? Make absolutely no difference? ... I'm guessing it's the last one.

Personally, I wouldn't. I wouldn't want it to look like I went to grad school so that I could later go to law school. I'd work something into my ps like "law school wasn't an option, so I followed my other passion. However, I couldn't shake the dream, so I'm applying again."

They probably like something about you enough to keep you! A decent number of admits first get their JS1 on the waitlist, so there's hope.
