Last night I dreamt that Harvard decided to hold me again (even though I've already been dinged), and then a few days later they rejected me again. What's up with that? Can't a brother just get a little post-ding peace?

Edit: Also, for some reason, all of this took place on a cruise ship, and this one girl I used to work with (who has no interest in law and, frankly, is a moron) was panicking because the power went out and she was supposed to have her JS1. I also recall something about train cars passing by (still on the cruise ship, btw) and one of them was Harvard (whatever that means), and once it passed by it meant it was all over.

Disclosure: I drank multiple glasses of wine last night.

A good blog post on the wait list.
"We have begun the process of moving students to our wait list." Posted yesterday. I wonder if that means we'll see WL activity today.

The blog post on holds was posted the same day the first holds came out.

Do you think this also means no more dings?

Based on the graph on p.1, the initial waitlist wave corresponded with a slightly larger wave of dings and JS2s. Immediately after that there was a substantial, virtually unaccompanied WL wave. So there's probably still a grab-bag of decisions out there...

Yeah, the dings may cease for now, but I'm sure more are on the way.

Unless they start the waitlist early (ie move everyone to it in the next week) I would expect a final large wave of dings to cull the Helds. Probably happen right before the big WL wave.

Some hope for those of us still standing: last years Held had 150+ and this years had 85. About 20 dings so the pool of applicants still in the running might have a better than normal chance of getting in.

I personally set my sights on HYS and I'm already out at YS. If this whole H thing doesn't pan out, my dad says I can help out with the family business. With Gus out of the picture I'll be making more bank than even you BigLaw fools slaving away 70 hours a week! M-m-muahahah!

I am SO jealous of your career opportunities.

Edit: it'd still be really good to have a lawyer in-house, though, so you never need the likes of Saul again. So here's hoping you get in!
