I'm kind of curious...did any other k-jd's not get asked why law now/why not take a year off?

I got asked if law school didn't exist what would I do instead, which I thought might be an alternative way of asking but that seems a little different..

I also got the "what would you do if not for law school" question. I asked her to clarify if she meant to ask what would I do if I got rejected, and she just repeated something to the effect of "if not law school, then what?", which I took to mean as "law school doesn't exist". I think my answer was pretty weak, since the question's phrasing threw me off.

I don't think who you get is based on the strength of your application. It may be that certain interviewers tend to illicit less favorable responses from applicants though.

It probably helps that people know JS's style very well from here, and are fairly well prepared for the kinds of questions she asks. On the other hand, the other interviewers are newer, and people seem to have been reluctant to reveal their interviewer alongside the questions they were asked so they don't reveal their identity. This probably results in having less practice with their specific questions as well as being thrown off by the fact that you don't know much about your interviewer.

It stays at 'Application Complete' until a decision is made, and it seems people find out the decision before the status checker changes to reflect it. No UR or anything like that.
