i wouldn't be surprised with either some more rejections or a smallish batch of JS2s (because i'm too tired to be a realist today)

I wonder if early dings mean later JS2s today?

We love you, toast. Those stats are awesome and will get you into great schools (as I'm sure they already have). Remember life is nothing more than how well we rise to the situations we are given. You can rock it at any school you go to, and I'm sure you will.

lol, honestly I am just hoping for a W/L, too. Still waiting on CCNP, and a straight rejection now would hurt.

Sorry to hear that toast. I know its a gut punch to get a rejection from somewhere that you have a real, legitimate shot at attending, especially when that place is as prestigious as Harvard. But as everyone has already said, you're gonna rock it hard wherever you go. And with those stats, you know it'll somewhere killer.

By the way, it's really nice to see you appreciating the community in the same post you said the dream is done. That of community is exactly why I decided to stop lurking and start posting.

So sorry for the dings today, especially toast :( Is this the first wave of dings for applicants who have had JS1s?

So I applied back in November and still have not heard anything. My stats should equal auto-ding, in my estimation. But I am a URM with strong softs and LORs. Could this mean I have a chance?

When I applied I put my chances at 0.001%, and that number was with the hope an adcomm would push the wrong button or something. But I thought, hey, make them tell you no.

Not having heard anything is making me wonder if they are just screwing with me for even daring to submit an app, or if perhaps Harvard is just such a fine, unique, and outside-the-box thinking institution that they are actually considering me.

If I received an admit I would probably die moments later from accidentally jumping through my high-rise window while bouncing off the walls... But I would die with a smile.

BTW, sorry to hear about the dings. I'm sure you're all outstanding applicants who will have several other great options in front of you. No matter what, I have no doubt big law and/or that dream job is in all of your futures, so chin up!
