I applied right before the deadline too, and I didn't even get an email telling me my application is complete yet. Is that normal? 4 weeks later...
Should I send them a "hey, what's up” email, or just leave it alone for a week or two more?
My stats aren't overly brilliant for Colorado, but why wouldn't they WL or reject me then?

wait. they are a black box of mystery that cranks a little slowly. but it is cranking. from what i hear, they try to give everybody a good look and that takes time.HazelEyes wrote:I applied right before the deadline too, and I didn't even get an email telling me my application is complete yet. CU undergrad alum here. Good luck to all of you still on the waitlist. Colorado is a pretty great environment to go to school - I'm just leaving because I've been here so long.

Sigh: I just declined my acceptance offer.
Hopefully the seat will go to one of y'all. (Sadly, it comes with no money.)
Good luck.

I, too, withdrew last night (December admit). Good luck and I hope my seat goes to someone deserving (preferably oriented towards environmental law!).

Re: Colorado 2010
I am still hoping to get off the wait list. Otherwise I will be at Gonzaga (full tuition scholarship). I decided I did not want to go to Denver and pay full tuition. But my first choice would be to pay full instate tuition at CU! Any suggestions on how to get off?

Did anyone else who did not send in a deposit get a letter thanking them for their deposit??

Re: Colorado 2010
No, but after I sent in my deposit (3 weeks ago) I got a "thank-you-for-your-deposit email," then the same day got an email informing me that the first deposit deadline was being extended. Then today I got ANOTHER thank-you-for-your-deposit email (only the subject line was, "Colorado Housing Board")84Sunbird2000 wrote:Did anyone else who did not send in a deposit get a letter thanking them for their deposit??

Re: Colorado 2010
I had the exact same experience with my deposit. Also, I had some of my transcripts forwarded to them and got an email saying "we received your transcripts." Then I got an email saying "don't forget to send your transcripts." I'm assuming that 1) they don't know how to use email lists and 2) this is limited to the admissions office. But I have nothing to base that on except hope.Tuski wrote:No, but after I sent in my deposit (3 weeks ago) I got a "thank-you-for-your-deposit email," then the same day got an email informing me that the first deposit deadline was being extended. The admissions office is changing their computer software or some system, so maybe they haven't figured out the new system yet. I seem to remember that being the reason why they haven't figured out financial aid stuff yet.

Waitlisted today
I'll stay on just in case God and/or the admissions committee decides to cut me a break!

Did you get snail mail or email for the waitlist? I wish they had a status checker. I never even received an application complete email, which they said they'd send in their application received email.

Snail mail. It took over a month for me to go complete, and then it took another month to get the decision.procrastinator wrote:Did you get snail mail or email for the waitlist? Interesting. Well, at least I know my application didn't get lost or anything. They replied with a confirmation when I emailed all my schools with an address update a couple weeks ago.

Withdrew today. CU has been really amazing to me, and a long conversation with Dean Getches last week made the school even more appealing. Ultimately though I am going to have better options moving out of state. Hope someone here picks up my seat (and Dean's Scholarship). Good luck all those waiting.

that's the 64k question...

Well DU is my only option right now. But I am staying on the WL at CU, until I am 100% about DU (currently 90% ish)... I still havent had the time off of work to visit CU. a lot depends on that and the $ situations. All of which is irrelevant unless i get off the CU WL to actually get to make any choice between the schools.

Re: Colorado 2010
anyone have any idea of the number currently on the waitlist? I sent an email last week regarding something else, asked the question of #s but they didn't reply to that portion of my email. I might call them this week, but wanted to find out if anyone had recently gotten an answer from them.
oooorrrrr...has anyone on the waitlist gotten accepted? Not sure if it's too early for that, as the 2nd seat deposit isn't for a few months.
thanks!

Waitlisted. Actually, that news made my day. Didn't think I had a shot @ CU with my stats and super late app. Keeping my fingers crossed for some good news. Anyone know how they feel about LOCI's?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
