Can you tell them to hurry up and accept me? I'd tell them myself, but I have to work a double-shift and H&H!
Aren't you on strike?
Only if they infringe on my right to celebrate new holidays!

I live in Putnam County, just north of Westchester. About an hour north of NYC.

Putnam! I live right on the border of Westchester and Putnam. I used to play hockey at the Brewster Ice Arena...like, 10 years ago. Jeez, that's a depressing thought.

Are Fordham acceptances released through email or regular mail? Both? Status checker?

All three. Status checker came first, and then I received an e-mail and a snail mail offer the week following my acceptance.

Does the status checker say "accepted" or simply just "decision"?

It says something to the effect of: "Congratulations, you have been accepted!"

I have a question of my own. I just scoured the website but have been unable to find the start date for the evening division's orientation in August. Does anyone know where I can find this information?

No I didn't find any orientation dates for either program. I'll call if it's not in the admitted students packet (supposedly coming in the mail this month).

I don't live there, but I was thinking of moving a few years back (finances at the time prevented it), and looked around a lot. Brooklyn actually seems very nice. Queens, on the other hand (or at least the parts I saw) is some sort of ghetto.

There's actually very little ghetto in Queens aside from Jamaica, Far Rockaway and some scattered other sketchy areas. Way less than the tons of Brooklyn ghetto nabes. Problem with Queens is that the almost all of it (aside from Forest Hills Gardens and Sunnyside Gardens) is really ugly, even the super safe areas.
