I am like 95% sure I'll go if I get in (slim chance I get into Pepperdine). Were you accepted on the MyUM page?
I had to send an addendum because of my low GPA (2.6) earlier this week, so I'm guessing they've reviewed everything else by now. If I don't get in via the website soon, I'll expect a rejection letter.

I found out on the MyUM page about 2 hours ago... I'm really excited. I've only been to Miami once, but it seems like a cool place to be.

Re: In at Miami!
If it weren't for the expense, Miami would probably be my top choice right now. I'm still waiting to hear from two more schools, but I'm about 80% sure that I will go to Miami.

Also about 80% certain. I visited and really dug the campus and area. Waiting to see if BK's got any scholarship money for me, and also for a bunch of reach schools that haven't decided on me yet. They sure are taking their sweet time.mrman17 wrote:If it weren't for the expense, Miami would probably be my top choice right now. Has anyone who took the Feb LSAT heard anything from UM?

Re: In at Miami!
I'm so ready to hear back already. It's seriously my #1 choice. Is there anything else I can do? I had to send in an addendum like a week ago (which UM requested) because of my low GPA (2.6 at Wake), so I'm thinking they've reviewed everything already and have almost made a decision. The MyUM status page not changing is just making me think I'm getting a rejection letter in the mail soon.

Hi there,
Where can I find my application status on the My UM page? MyUM page does not display an application status section anywhere.
Thanks for your help.

It should be the very first page that you see after you log in. It will say "Congratulations" at the top of the screen.

They were only taking a week or two at the beginning of the cycle, not sure now that it's getting later...TKM wrote:In general how fast has UM been in their admission?

Yeah they've taken considerably more time than people were saying earlier in the cycle.

Re: In at Miami!
Just got into Case Western this morning and will probably be going there... although Miami just sounds soo much more appealing than Cleveland does! I'll be withdrawing from Miami sometime next week so there will be one more open spot for those of you still waiting. Good luck to everyone! Looks like I'll be stuck in the cold and snow forever!

Re: In at Miami!
Question. I just recently received a fee waiver from UCONN and wrote the statement about why I choose to pursue a legal education. I am pretty happy with what I've written and wonder if it's too late to send to all the schools I haven't heard from. Or at this late stage should I just send them an addendum of why I want to attend their particular school?

Have any of the 'deferred' candidates heard back from UM yet? I was deferred in early December and have not heard anything back.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Has anyone begun looking for housing? Anyone else considering the Brickell/downtown area?

I'm considering Brickell. Prices look high on craigslist, despite the campus tour guide saying it was pretty cheap. Are you planning on using a realtor? I feel it might be worth it.js87 wrote:Has anyone begun looking for housing? Anyone else considering the Brickell/downtown area?
Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Re: In at Miami!
Placed on hold today. Letter says they'll reconsider applicants by April 30th. Anyone who is not going to attend and has been accepted, please withdraw.
I can't wait to get started on my LOCI. I want to blow their minds!

I'm leaning towards Miami right now (pending other decisions), and my seat deposit is due before that date they're reconsidering the holds... Why set the seat deposit date so early, when you can withdraw it anyways?! I don't get it...

Re: In at Miami!
I'm thinking of emailing the asst dean of admissions (who sent my letter) to let him know I can fly down in the next few weeks to set up an interview/hand deliver a LOCI. Thoughts on this strategy?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
