Have any RD applicants been accepted yet, or is it still just EDs?

Any speculation on when RD decisions will come out this year? It seems that they have historically come out in the second week of January in big wave.

Hey y'all quick inquiry that I'm sure is on here somewhere but I'm not tryna scroll through 23592345 posts: roughly what percentage of interviewees get admitted, do we know? Like I know with Harvard 75% of JS1s get in but I wasn't sure if similar stats were available to the general public aka specifically me re: Chicago

That is an absolutely bonkers idea.Crazy Sammy Alito wrote: ... the prisoners failed to identify a known and available alternative method of execution that entails a lesser risk of pain, a requirement of all Eighth Amendment method-of-execution claims.

Tbh I stand with my boy Brennan (#1 William Brennan fangirl of all time like I have his face tattooed on my arm) (I don't actually but like if I could get a temporary tattoo of his face I would) and his concurrence in Furman and I wish it hadn't been overturned ugh also if you are interested in reading about why capital punishment is fucked up you should check out Sr. Helen Prejean. Also I wrote one of my senior capstones on capital punishment as a manifestation of structural violence (but that gets more at McCleskey than Glossip/Furman) so if you are interested I can happily throw more anti-death penalty lit @ youheythatsme wrote:Yupnotorious_mig wrote:Glossip [was a terrible verdict]

International applicant. Submitted today. LSAT above median. Non-reportable GPA: Superior. Seems like a long shot from where I see it.

We are unsure, but it's a great sign if you're interviewed because 100% of accepted students interviewed.notorious_mig wrote:Hey y'all quick inquiry that I'm sure is on here somewhere but I'm not tryna scroll through 23592345 posts: roughly what percentage of interviewees get admitted, do we know? Re: Chicago C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
The short answer is no. It's a city, so it comes with the caveat that you have to be self-aware, but the violence isn't directed towards you. The other people did a great job of explaining it, but I wanted to add my voice to the "no" side and will defer to the other posts for more details.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:I've been struggling with this in my head, so I thought I might ask y'all. If/when you are admitted to University of Chicago, are any of you concerned with the violence in the city? Putting aside the event of yesterday, since we still don't know all of the details, does the fact that there were more than 700 homicides last year alone alarm any of you? And are you factoring that in your decision to attend?

If you're crazy, we're both crazy. I believe in the power of positive thinking, and I think we're getting a wave this week.poptart123 wrote:Am I crazy to hope for the first wave of acceptances this week?

Did anyone apply in August? Because they'll be the first to be admitted, IIRC.
