Congrats! Within the next 24 hours for status checker. Everything else will trickle in over the next week or 2 (various informative emails, acceptance packet, and letter(s) from Dean Farnsworth).omarkh wrote:Accepted via phone call this afternoon. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
Does anyone know the timeline for the status checker to update as well as email/physical package in the mail? Thanks!

My application went complete mid/late January. I know that they probably haven't reached these applications yet, but would it be helpful to submit an unsolicited "why Texas" page?

Waitlisted... Submitted mid Nov. OOS. No "Why Texas" invitation this time around. I got a "Why Texas" invite last year, rejected... Should I send another?

I wonder when the next big batch of calls will go out, maybe next week?

Got an interview request. Texas is my No. 1 choice (after getting dinged from my No. 1 choice...) and I'd be willing to take out ~$75k to go. Any advice for the interview? From Midwest but have a lot of family in Austin; is that worth mentioning?

Yes. Strong ties to Austin is a good thing. They're looking for people who want to go there and have good reasons. Family is a great reason.guybourdin wrote:Got an interview request. Good luck! It's my #1 choice too and really hoping for an acceptance off of the waitlist.

Had an interview earlier this week and received my acceptance today. It was really casual and enjoyable. I have zero ties to Austin/Texas and have never been there, but I'm sure your ties wouldn't hurt. They will ask Why Texas, especially considering you're out of state. I think the interview depends more on being personable, describing your resume and experiences, your interest in law and your interest in UT.guybourdin wrote:Got an interview request. Not sure if people have already posted about this, but about a week ago I was invited to interview for a full ride + stipend. Unfortunately the interviews are only offered one weekend and I will be at another ASW. Texas native (obviously), stats in profile. Hopefully this will open a spot up for another deserving candidate!!!

Well the weekends kinda suck now that UT is really the only school I'm waiting to hear from..... Really hoping it'll be a call and not an email.

Hi everyone! Long-time lurker here. I got the call on Friday. I missed the call, so thankfully the Dean left a voicemail... which I have since listened to at least 10 times to make sure I didn't dream it. My status checker hasn't updated yet, and I haven't received an email... I think it may be because I got the call on a Friday evening. Anyway, glad I still have the voicemail for when I want to check my sanity

Congrats!! When did you submit? If you don't mind what are your numbers? (or pm if you'd rather not share any specifics!)

I'm at median for GPA and around 25% for LSAT. I'm also an OOS applicant.

Not sure what ultimately tipped the scale in my favor - I do have above-average softs and great work experience, so maybe that helped!PatriotP74 wrote:Wow! URM? Perhaps that means I have a better chance of getting off of the waitlist after all.

Re: University of Texas c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I applied late November with a 166/3.80 and went complete on December 1st.
I got the email saying they received my application and go the status checker email. However, I still have not received a decision from UT or any email since the status checker email.
Should I call?

I would recommend against it. I and a few others that I've seen have also been complete since 12/1. The only thing you're likely to hear is that they're still making decisions and that they'll let you know when they make a decision.PhysicistLawyer wrote:I applied late November with a 166/3.80 and went complete on December 1st.
