The information about this is in the admitted students site, but they haven't sent out the info yet for us to login to that site. I called today and they said that the way it works is that we buy our flight and then they will just reimburse us when we are there for the admitted students event. I don't know if that means a full reimbursement or something else, but that's the process they'll use.

thanks for the reply man. i figured as much. other schools -- and i presume berkeley -- typically have a cap on how much they'll reimburse. i wonder if they are kind to east coasters. hopefully so!

Congrats! What're you numbers if you don't mind me asking?
Could you send me your numbers as well!?
Feel free to PM me for specifics, but I'm median GPA and between 25 and median LSAT. Also a URM, so that may be of interest as well.

I received the acceptance packet in the mail a few weeks ago and it said I should have already received this information, but I've yet to receive it. This is the information required to login to the admitted students part of the Berkeley Law site.

I emailed them to ask (and to also get deets on the travel $$) and they just said they hadn't sent it yet, with no information on when it would be sent. So rejoice, you haven't missed anything or been forgotten, but lament, cuz it looks like it isn't on the immediate horizon. I'm antsy to get in to the portal and start geeking out...
The thing is, I'm trying to buy my flight ticket asap because I'm trying to fly to the bay area with some family. Any idea on how they might assist with paying for the travel expenses? I don't know if they are just going to reimburse or if they have their own channels to go through for buying the tickets.
They said its just a flat rate "gift card" (assuming visa?) that they give you when you're there. its $300 for people coming from out of California and $150 for people coming from within California. So just buy your tickets now!

Do you guys think it'll be like another big wave in a couple weeks when we hear back, or do you think they'll trickle in?

FR notifications were released Tuesday, 1/13 last cycle iirc, so at the very least we may hear from em this week

I'm a little late to the game here, so apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but does anyone have predictions on when the first round of faculty review happens? Has anyone heard about getting transferred to faculty review?

It's my best shot, so I pray they got my app in the nick of time for the first round. Last year, apparently it happened around now.

So if you haven't received an offer by now, is it safe to say you've been pushed into faculty review?

As always, hard to say. Seemed like last year's group got notifications about being pushed into FR. The TLS interview with Dean Tom, though a bit dated, was my main source for my speculative what-if scenarios. http://www.top-law-schools.com/tom-interview.html

So... because I found this kind of thing cathartic I've listed my wild speculations below.

Un-Official Options:
1. Already rejected but not yet notified
2. Pushed to FR
3. Pending review or in review
4. Reviewed by staff, pushed to Dean Tom and pending final review
5. Some sort of informal hold by Dean Tom while he reads through a bajillion other apps
6. Accepted but not yet notified

1. Quick-stalking your stats, I'd say this is doubtful.
2. Obviously possible but I wouldn't resign myself to it.
3. Maybe. They've seemed pretty swamped this year so it wouldn't surprise me. Evidence: Twitter, emailing admitted students instead of calling, slower overall timeline compared to last year.
4. I'd bet on this one!
5. I can see this happening but it isn't based on hard evidence.
6. Seems like they got a pretty big wave out and skipped calling people so I'd lean more toward options 3-5.

*Insert spiel about just for fun and stress-relief blahblahblah*. Hope that helps. Good luck!

I'm gonna guess they're gonna have another wave in a week or two of acceptances, then FR notifications right after, then the first dings right after that.
