thanks all- very helpful.

trying to decide between HYS, ruby and hamilton. want to clerk, want to do PI, not biglaw. Don't really want massive debt but COAP seems pretty good and dont know what fin aid will bring yet.
Am really tempted by Y, S and ruby. i'm just not sure to what extent turning down the ruby is impractical vs. turning down yale is penny wise and pound foolish.

lol +1. The COAP factor is pretty huge for me, especially the career versatility you get there vs. Stanford's LRAP. But dat Ruby doh... Or Cali...

Last year on a day when JS2s were going out I got a call from a 617 number...confirming my dinner reservations for that night. The hostess probably thought I was a serial killer I was breathing so hard.

Thanks! Yeah, it's the best one I've received so far. You get an orderly (hard cover!) binder that explains step-by-step the process of accepting the offer to Yale, financial aid, moving to New Haven, double-degree programs etc. down to the smallest detail. The snuggie is not a part of this though; mine arrived roughly two months after the acceptance package.

I've always wondered how they order the calls. Do you think it's by time zone? Or arbitrary? Probably the latter, but I'd be interested if east coast people generally what earlier than west coast.
