Does anyone have any insight on UR4 1/12's? This doesn't necessarily mean that a decision is coming for everyone who goes UR4 1/12 this week, right? Getting very nervous but also trying to stay realistic about what to expect.

The general wisdom (after only one round)so far seems to be after a UR4 you will recieve a decision when other people who submitted around the same date get theirs. So someone who went complete in september will likely get news before someone complete in November, even if they have similar UR4 dates.

But theres been one wave so everything I wrote is probably wrong.

Most of us UR4 12/29 people haven't heard back yet so I would say probably not. Not sure, but there may be a large group of UR4s before that still waiting as well.

Walked by the reception desk today and saw about 50 FedEx boxes waiting to be sent out. Probably acceptance packages. Could be something else though. Good luck everyone!

Just had my interview....The interview was...ah...I felt like she was tired and...threw out questions and wrote the answers down...I did not know how to describe my feeling...
And how many question did she ask y'all?
She only asked me 7 questions, and all of them are from the list I saw in the forum (e.g. Why law, Why Chicago Law, Why my undergraduate college, etc)...Is it an usual issue that if the interviewer is interested in the interviewee, he/she will ask more questions? Hopefully, she did not dislike my answers and was just too tired...

Thanks! It seems to me that there was a mix of UR4s from 12/18 and 12/29 who were ultimately accepted on 12/31. So based on what yall are saying, it probably means that whenever Chicago does its next wave of admits, remaining UR4s from those pools (12/18 and 12/29) and a mix of UR4s from the 1/12 pool will be admitted. Hopefully it'll be tomorrow. The waiting game sucks!

I've read the chicago law interview page and am still confused about one issue:
Are all RD acceptances given to people who have already had interviews? AKA you need to have an interview before getting accepted?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, my questions felt very boiler plate as well. The only personal questions I was given were why I'd made a major change and what brought me to that major initially (and that was clearly asked because I had brought up that decision a few times in my previous answers) and what my favorite book or movie was (which I think was just a combination of my interviewers style and her fishing for new books to read and movies to watch).

I'm nervous about my interview because I was asked a bunch of personal questions...Good or bad sign, hmm.
Got some questions that I haven't seen on our current lists. PM for details if you want to know more :)

I had my interview yesterday and realized at :59 that my interview was actually happening RIGHT THEN instead of an hour later (because I'm an idiot and was confused about Central Standard Time). I threw off my clothes, quickly changed into a dress shirt/suit, and whipped open my laptop.

Besides that, I thought it went pretty well. It was straight off the list of questions you can find on TLS, but anyone can PM me if they'd like.

Lol what a story. Although my experience was a bit different (I spent the 30 minutes prior to the interview just sitting in silence in front of my laptop twiddling my thumbs), the interview was standard - every question but one that was personal to my app I had seen before on TLS.

I was UR1 on 11/10 and received an interview request on 12/23, if that helps. I think it's still early for you.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
