Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
Hey everybody! I've been lurking and silently commiserating forever, but just got my acceptance yesterday so I wanted to post here in case it helps anyone out. I got the email around 10PM Saturday EST. Submit late Jan, complete early Feb. PM for stats or anything! I'm still in shock.

In the past, what generally happens to early completers but late hearers?
I was complete end of October. (above both 75ths if relevant).

Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
This. If you're an early completer but haven't heard, you basically know that you made it to FR (otherwise they'd have got you in the February ding wave). And either you have some super super slow reviewers or you're an 11. I think some 11s get straight admitted, others WLed and still others dinged. Anyone who gets a 12 gets in.Mack.Hambleton wrote:Probably ding or WLFred Norris wrote:In the past, what generally happens to early completers but late hearers?

To those still waiting and pressured with scholarship deadlines from other schools, I thought I'd share this gem. Dug it up from way back when, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who was worrying/wondering about this.

Is it reasonable to expect a decision within the next week?

3/27 (Thurs) - 1 acceptance
3/28 (Fri) - 1 acceptance
3/31 (Mon) - 1 acceptance, 44 rejections, 1 waitlist
4/2 (Weds) - 4 acceptances
4/3 (Thurs) - 1 acceptance, 2 rejections
4/5 (Sat) - 3 acceptances
4/6 (Sun) - 1 acceptance
4/7 (Mon) - 2 acceptances
4/10 (Thurs) - 4 rejections
4/11 (Fri) - 2 rejections, 17 waitlists
4/17 (Thurs) - 1 rejection, 1 waitlist
From @ylsadmissions (March/April 2014)
3/31: Good and bad news from YLS this week. Bad news earlier in the week. Good news later in the week.
3/31: We had a group of files returned early, so a -few- admit calls tonight. Almost not worth tweeting, but to avoid any confusion...
4/1: We apparently hired Professor Trelawney to tell us what to expect this week. There will be no deny notices going out today.
4/2: And finally...admits!!!
4/2: We expect a -few- more admits this evening. There should be more admits and denies tomorrow. We're trying to get decisions out ASAP!
4/4: No decisions this evening. Some good news tomorrow.
4/7: Admits tonight, tonight!
4/8: A -few- admits today. We are hoping to have all decisions out by the end of the week.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting--it's nice to know it'll end soon, especially for those of us in the October-November club.

34 rejections on 2/12, per LSN. That was the most recent ding wave. Latest complete date in that wave was 12/12.hermione1000 wrote:lurker here too! thanks for all the info and encouragement along the way guys <3 have there been any major rejection waves with yls? and should we be expecting a later cycle because the yls website says decisions will be handed out april 10 - 30?jinxpoem4 wrote:Lurker checking in.
