Is there a difference between priority reserve and wait listed? Or...?

Pretty sure PR is just a fancy word for waitlist.
Especially since the email specifically says they don't rank people on PR. But this is coming from someone who feels fairly pessimistic at the moment.

IIRC theres the PR group and then the regular waitlist that comes from RD decisions, and the PR group is the first group they take from (which makes sense since usually people who get PT have better numbers usually than RD people).

I received an email saying they had received my application. When I went to check the status, it says "Processing Incomplete File" yet below that it says they have both of my recommendations and have the other two requirements checked off. To clarify, at the top of the site it says "Once we receive and process the required material, your status will be updated the next business day." Does this mean I have nothing to worry about? I applied with the PL and wasn't sure if that meant today counted or day one is *tomorrow*

Day 1 is the day after your status goes "complete".

I understand. There with ya. Fortunately it looks like a lot of people were pulled off last year. Don't get too down on yourself. You will definitely have a lot of really good options this cycle.

I'm so depressed. Do you know how late they typically let people off? And does this mean there's no chance of getting a scholarship now?
I don't even understand how this happened, so many people with lower numbers than mine got in </3

I wouldn't expect any movement until spring/beginning of summer (once people start to really withdraw). It definitely does not mean you can't get a scholarship. We see tons of people getting off waitlists with big $$$. Unless you have some serious C&F issue, I wouldn't worry about your app. People get waitlisted at T-14 schools. Just happens.

lots of people with really great numbers have been getting PR this cycle. I highly doubt that all of you have some weird issue with your applications. most likely duke is just going a little more heavy with the YP this cycle, for whatever reason. I know it must be hard not to be discouraged after getting put on PR, but keep your heads up. a lot of the numbers I've seen getting PRed will absolutely have great options elsewhere in the T14, and likely at duke, too, if you want to show the interest.

I went UR for priority track on Nov. 11. I see that I have a date change to Nov. 15. What's up with that?
