It's a really nice viewbook detailing the different things Cornell has to offer.

I am finishing up with the Cornell application. I am really confused about the "Interest in Cornell" section of the application. The instructions said that explain your interest "in two or three short sentences." However, we can write up to 1000 characters for that question. So i am wondering should I write a full-length "Why" essay for that part, or should I just strictly follow the instruction?

I strictly followed the instructions so I'm hoping that was the right thing to do... anyone do anything else?

Nope, I just wrote a couple sentences on the location, job-placement, prestige, etc.

Same here. 1000 characters isn't nearly enough for a full on essay anyway so I stuck to 3 sentences myself. Though I only just went UR so I can't say my way was the right way ..

I would follow the instructions. You could write more about Why Cornell in an addendum or in your personal statement if you want though.

Exactly; recent check-in BillsFan9907 could for example write something like "I grew up in Baltimore Denver Rochester because I cannot get enough of them Matzo Kimchi Buffalo wings they got in up state NY" and be done with it; I'm sure that'll land him last year's 2/3rd scholly again no problem.

Congrats to those accepted!

Had my first date change from 12/8 to 1/14; was everyone accepted shortly after a date change or was the acceptance your first change?

I had date changes on 1/12 and 1/13. I think those were the only two after going complete.
