Added. Good luck!hereisonehand wrote:Did my robot interview recently; all questions were on the list on page 27 (except for one that should be added soon). That was weird. We'll see what they have to say.

It's a really nice viewbook detailing the different things Cornell has to offer.Marjorie1 wrote:has anybody who got into Cornell gotten the admit package in the mail? I'm away from home so I can't open mine and I'm curious to know whats in it

Re: Cornell c/o 18 Applicants
I am finishing up with the Cornell application. I am really confused about the "Interest in Cornell" section of the application. The instructions said that explain your interest "in two or three short sentences." However, we can write up to 1000 characters for that question. So i am wondering should I write a full-length "Why" essay for that part, or should I just strictly follow the instruction?

I strictly followed the instructions so I'm hoping that was the right thing to do... anyone do anything else?

Nope, I just wrote a couple sentences on the location, job-placement, prestige, etc.

Same here. 1000 characters isn't nearly enough for a full on essay anyway so I stuck to 3 sentences myself. Though I only just went UR so I can't say my way was the right way ..hopeboaltberkeley wrote:I strictly followed the instructions so I'm hoping that was the right thing to do... anyone do anything else?

I would follow the instructions. You could write more about Why Cornell in an addendum or in your personal statement if you want though.XYL42 wrote:I am finishing up with the Cornell application. Exactly; recent check-in BillsFan9907 could for example write something like "I grew up insmccgrey wrote:I think, at least to some extent, it's a test of how well you can condense your "Why Cornell" into two or three clear, concise sentences. Unless you have a really unique reason for Cornell, I think the response in the app should cover it.

Congrats to those accepted!
Had my first date change from 12/8 to 1/14; was everyone accepted shortly after a date change or was the acceptance your first change?
