Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
I undoubtedly will get dinged. Applied ED (11/15) cause I had it to burn and figured better to use it than let it go to waste, but am at 25th on GPA and below on LSAT. I'll keep everyone updated.

Does anyone know anything about some kind of preferred waitlist at Georgetown? Is that just for people who applied ED and were waitlisted, and does it actually give the applicants on it any kind of special consideration? I have a friend who ended up on it, and I'm trying to help her figure out what her chances are.

There's some info here if you want to read about last year's, from what I can gather they are the first people on the list (as opposed to the "regular wait list"), and both RD and ED.

I haven't seen a single rejection on LSN.ineedcoffee wrote:same. anyone thats gotten rejected willing to share stats/timelines??Peta wrote:All these deferrals and holds yet not a single ding. Makes me nervous...
This is making me nervous. You know, especially since the status checker is for all intents and purposes useless.

Is Georgetown posting status updates on the checker? I haven't seen anyone mention time between UR and decision - is that because the application is staying at complete?

yeah, apparently the status checker stays at complete when they accept you (acceptance letter comes through snail mail)accessislife wrote:Is Georgetown posting status updates on the checker? I have seen in it in previous posts as well. Can anyone confirm whether their SC stayed as "Application Completed" after receiving acceptance via snail mail? thanks.hereisonehand wrote:yeah, apparently the status checker stays at complete when they accept you (acceptance letter comes through snail mail)accessislife wrote:Is Georgetown posting status updates on the checker? Yep, I'm accepted according to snail mail (while abroad, no less), yet just "complete" according to Status Checker.legummagister wrote:I have seen in it in previous posts as well. Not sure.. but I think mine went from Application Complete to Application CompletED.
Or maybe it is just because I read the forum and it was always application completED.
Could people who just applied check if theirs is 'complete' or 'completed'?

My status checker says application completED. I applied September and still haven't heard anything.Brady199 wrote:Not sure.. but I think mine went from Application Complete to Application CompletED.

I'm admitted already and the Admitted Students site gives the same response. The site wasn't even up until December last year so I wouldn't worry about that yet.legummagister wrote:Same here... let's keep waiting a little longer, thanks for the advice.hereisonehand wrote:no, it told me it had no idea who I was, which was a little hurtful after all the love and attention I have bestowed on gtown, but maybe she'll come around soonLions1913 wrote:Did it work?hereisonehand wrote:
