Appreciate all that info! When do they usually let you know ur section and course schedule?

Seems like sections came out in July. You can see in old threads.

Actual schedule may already be available, just that you won't know which section yet.

Look for "Sec 1 and Sec 2" on courses. Except LWRA where Sec 1-4 will be subsections out of big Sec 1, and Sec 5-8 will be subsections of big Sec 2. (Sec 3 and LWRA Sec 9+ are evening)

ETA2: Note that the tentative schedule may actually change. Ours did for spring.

I'm hoping that some people withdraw when seat deposit deadlines pass, and maybe some of us waitlist guys can get in.

Does SMU actually admit of waitlist or is it used as an in-between step to deny people?

I assumed they admitted off waitlist but lsn doesn't have alot of people the have "wl, accepted". Althought LSN is a self selecting sub group so it might not be accurate.

Just an email will do. I included where I intended to matriculate in mine simply because some schools did ask why.

Someone from Admissions will call you after you are admitted, followed by the official admitted student packet. If you get a scholarship, the scholarship letter will be in the packet. It is unusual for it to come after.

If you didn't get a phone call, then I would check to make sure that your voicemail box is set-up!

Most schools hold some apps until after the first deposit deadline and make decisions on them after they see what shape their class is starting to take

Has anyone here requested an extension on the first deposit? I don't want to lose 250 dollars but I have had no time to make it to campus for a visit and don't want to make my decision without that

Yeah I got mine in the mail exactly a week after. If you need it sooner you can just email and ask for it. They will give it to you
