They're probably working from home so as not to mess up your interview schedules. I'm pretty sure the building is closed though.Steveloblaw wrote:Yeah Chicago reached out and said the interview today is still on...impressed they're working today.

I wasn't even planning to check because of the weather, thanks for posting that. I guess they're working from home -- +1 for the all-electronic application system.

Did anyone else get a status update on Sat (1/4)? I had my first post-interview UR on Friday and then another update on Saturday.

Did anyone who interviewed recently have any curveball questions? Anything different from Charlie.black's questions and those mentioned in the guide Regulus made? You can PM me if you want. Thanks

Is that just a status date change or something else? My status date changed on 1/3 while UR, but I don't know if that qualifies as ur2applelover wrote:UR2

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Guys please help me:
1) Is interview required for admission?
2) What is UR1/UR2? Is it like JS1/JS2?
Sorry I wasn't very active ITT, so please forgive my ignorance if somebody has mentioned this before.

1) Think the answer is no on this but that they're trying to interview as many as possiblebbkk wrote:Guys please help me:

2) I think people are referring to UR1 or UR2 just when the date is changing after going under review. I don't think there is any way of knowing how many review dates an applicant will have. Also note that after the interview, we go back to review, and I've had one date change since

There's a status checker journey in the OP. Being only at UR1, I can't confirm it's accurate, though.

Hey guys,
I reviewed an interview from Dean Perry done a while back with TLS. Chicago reviews every application twice, so I don't think there's much to get excited about with the whole UR1 or UR2 stuff, at least with regard to the wishful thinking of "I made it past UR1, so I must be getting somewhere!"

Nope! Regulus' thread covers everything that I was asked. I thought that my Chicago interview was very relaxed. It was much more easy going than my JS1 at any rate, though not quite as chill as UVA. Read that collection of 15ish questions and formulate your answers and you should be set (don't rehearse though; you'll sound stilted).emmybee wrote:Did anyone who interviewed recently have any curveball questions? Checking in. Wasn't feeling confident much before, but with my new stats I feel like I have a shot. Hoping Chicago and Columbia will bite. Sent my apps late November.
