Just got put on the Priority Reserve from Priority track

3.62/177.

Very disappointed, I hope this is not a harbinger of things to come.

Don't panic, y'all! they may just have gotten slammed with applications and need to hold off, or whatever. I'm in with a 3.6 and a 171, so it's not like they suddenly jumped in what their medians are or something. I'm with Merylian - just keep stressing your interest.

My decision was day 11, but from looking at this thread and LSN it seems decisions usually come around day 10

Are you sure it took 11 or did you count the day it went complete as day 1?

I followed these instructions

"This program guarantees that you will receive a response on your application within ten days of completing your file. (For example, if your application was completed on October 1, you would receive a response no later than October 11.)

^ That's true - but when you sent it in does not equal when you went complete. For me, I submitted 10/5, went complete on 10/7, and then received my decision on 10/16, or day 9, after I went complete.

I heard back on the 10th day not counting the day I went complete.
In my case:
Complete: 10/31
Decision: 11/10

But there are a couple people in this thread who heard back in less than 10 days!

My UG institution is driving me nuts. I have a minor CF issues and Duke needs a letter from my UG with the details of the incident. Still not sent... grr

This is great! One note, there is no option for Priority Reserve (which from my understanding is different from the standard waitlist. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

In on 11/11/13 10 days after going complete.
My stats will give hope to some: 166 and 3.8, non URM.
Four years WE including Peace Corps and non-profit law firm experience.

I was pretty surprised to be invited to PT with my numbers. Very excited about the prospect of attending Duke. I'm from the South, but live in CA, so having future options in both regions would be ideal.

Congrats to all who have been admitted! Also, I applied during the 2010-2011 cycle, and decided to reapply after doing the Peace Corps. Considering the drop in applications since 2010, it seems like it was a great decision. If anyone is considering PC, I highly recommend the experience!

today was PT day 9. today my status changed to "decision made, wait for email."

I guess it's good to know it's definitely coming tomorrow, but is there usually a lag between the status change and the decision? or does the lag mean I'm getting placed on priority WL for YP reasons (HYS ###s here)

someone else said they got the email 20 min after that status update. It's been almost 10 hours since that status update for me. I'm just trying to see if this lag means anything. I don't want to get YP WLed

Nobody wants to get YP'd, but there's nothing you can do about it before a decision has been made and officially communicated to you. I think what cotiger and some others are trying to tell you is that while worry is normal, excessive and anxious speculation about events out of your control is not only useless but also pretty noxious to everyone's spirit.
