I am sure the lengthy wait is only because of the unusual quality of this year's class, Dean Tom has to work out the final logistical details of admitting everyone and creating a satellite Boalt on an incredibly luxurious and antics-filled yacht in the San Francisco Bay, a la The Suite Life On Deck. I'm positive this is the case.
Lol a Disney TV show reference?
Don't knock crappy Disney shows. We have the rest of our lives to see idealized versions of ourselves on Scandal or SVU - for now I'm decompressing with some throwbacks.

That is really odd. Have you tried calling them? I sent mine in this week and also went complete this week as well.

Does application complete mean that you are under review? Or does your status change to actually say "under review" ?

When UR, it will explicitly state "Your file is under review."

Hm, I didn't realize. Yeah, I'll probably call them once I get off work.

I was sitting at application received since 10/31 then finally went UR 1/6, so you're not alone!

but I'm also below both medians sooooooo that might have something to do with it...at least in my case

And I now officially feel old when law students are citing shows that my children enjoy.

I'm afraid I also have to take issue with this reference, not because it references a children's show, but because until it did, I was sure it would be a reference to whatever the heck Google was building in the Bay.

So a weird thing happened.

I was under review as of 1/7 and now my status check says "We have received your application." with a 12/2 date.

Has this happened to anyone else or anyone have an idea of why that might have happened?

Maybe I'm just going crazy.

This happened to people last year too, but I forget if it meant anything.

Has anyone noticed that Berk seems much more LSAT-driven these days? Aside from the rise in 25th last cycle (163 to 166), it seems like most people accepted thus far have sterling numbers.

IDK who's been admitted from this thread or what their numbers are but that jump in 25th is crazy. However, their median didn't move so there is that. Honestly, I think Cal is looking to move up the rankings this year after being moved down last year. Schools like Umich, UCLA and Cal are at a disadvantage because they're public schools whereas the rest of the t-14 are private. Cal however can totally climb up the rankings if it was focused solely on raising that LSAT median instead of keeping strong GPA/LSAT medians. CAL offers strong employment, no letter grading, and that unbeatable CA weather.

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but last year there was a big admit wave the Tuesday after MLK Day. Tomorrow could be exciting!

It does seem like this, maybe they're letting higher scorers in first this year.

Current Status Date: 10/30/2013"

I WAS UR 11/18.

Read through the c/o 2016 thread for this time last year. I think you'll find this happened to a bunch of people. Can't recall if it was a signal that they were about to get slotted for Faculty Review, or about to get in, or neither.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
